This is a large, flat public car park beside Loch Leven, with ample space, walks, park access and a departure pier for the Loch Leven Castle boat. One overnight stay is permitted according to staff, although no signs confirm this. Public toilets, bins, a cafe and food van are available, with toilets reported open from 10am to 17h. The site is generally quiet, though motorway noise and evening midges have been noted.

Fantastic place with lots of space. Nice walking. We stayed here for a few days. In the very first spot on the left you are completely level; at the back you get the first and last rays of sunshine.
A beautiful spot, right next to Loch Levan and a park (if you have children). Very quiet and flat with 2 bars of 4G if you have Vodafone (other networks are available). No height restrictions. We had a smashing quiet night, with a food van on site too offering a gorgeous selection of foods. Would stay again.
Amazing spot, so much space. Little van cafe open in the morning with lovely rolls ( really recommend their “Blaggis”!) Clean toilets with hot water. Easy access to the Loch too.
We spent the night here—a great place. If you have dogs, there is a fantastic park for walking and playing with them. The route around the lake is incredible by bike, and we bought bread and meat in the village. Excellent.
Large car park beside the loch, quiet in the evening and at night. Rabbits everywhere, and lots of midges in the evening. Toilets open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are others a little farther along the loch that close at 7 p.m.
this seems just perfect for location and facilities. There is a tap with a long hose behind the Scot Nature office where they have a small car park where you could park to fill up. I asked to use it and they would have obliged if it was turned on, but they explained it was temp off because of works. He was happy to fill some water bottles for me from their kitchen.
I only stopped during the day, but I would definitely sleep here. A few other vans were in the large car park. The toilets and café were both good, and there was almost full phone signal on the O2 4G network.
A highly recommended place for activities around the lake. The Pinkfoot offers drinks and small meals from 10 a.m. The small town also has everything you need.
Lovely spot near the boathouse. Lovely little town. Got laundry done in the laundrette. Quiet night.
A lovely large site. The access road was narrow, but 2.8 metres was no problem. When we were there it was very quiet, and the café was also open from 10 a.m. in the morning. The coffee and breakfast bags were delicious.
This is a public carpark with ample parking for motorhomes great walks around loch leven and lovely coffee van. Public toilets on site which close at 5pm
Large paved car park beside a lake. No view of the lake. Toilet building. Food truck. Bins. Pier for the boat to Lochleven Castle. Quiet night with the soft sound of the motorway in the background.
We had two peaceful nights. Perfect spot with toilets from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and coffee from 10 a.m., with an amazing sausage bun. Fully recommend it. The Indian restaurant in town is also good.
Perfect for an overnight stop on the road. Free. Midges, though.
Brilliant stay over that you can stay for multiple nights. The nature hides are a wonderful way to see a range of wildlife. The 21k walk around the loch is also beautiful. The Pinkfoot Cafe does great food. A walk in to town (5mins) to Unorthodox Roasters is highly recommend! Toilets say open 9-17:00 but I would say it’s more 9:30-16:45. Gets busy with walkers/cyclists but plenty of space!
A great place for the night. Clean and quiet. Making a donation to Historic Scotland is complicated because it only opens at 10 a.m. and there is no QR code for donations.
Hardstanding parking with toilet facilities. Nice café and a lovely walk around the loch.
Fantastic hardstanding parking with loads of spaces. The café has a nice selection. Lovely 21 km walk around the loch, with a good path and grass nearby for dogs to enjoy. Worth visiting for a day out.
Stayed on two separate nights. Fantastic location. Plenty of space. The boat trip to Level Castle is worth the trip and views. Good walking trails nearby. RSPB Leven nearby. The Historic Scotland office is no longer open. The nearby Nature Scotland office did not know about payments. A new outdoor eatery called Pinkfoot Cafe has recently opned in the car park. Would use again.
Really pleasant and quiet place to spend the night, please keep it clean. Main toilets open till 5pm and as other mentioned toilets further around loch open later - door was broken but usually they cost 20p I think. Thanks for allowing vans!
Plenty of space for larger vans (ours is 7.4m and parked no problem). Quiet night and near level pitches. Would have liked to leave a donation but the office at the pier didn't open even though the sign said it should open at 10am. Maybe a donation box or at least a QR code would be worthwhile.
Nice spot, easy to park, calm during the night, with no visible restrictions regarding overnight parking. Nearby the lake
Lovely place to stay overnight. The coffee van was open and a lovely girl was serving. Very quiet, and although it was windy during Storm Dave, it felt safe. We slept well.
Nice spot, free and easy to park. Popular with campers. There is a coffee van opening up (early 2026) with toilet block attached open 9am-5pm April-October. There is also a toilet block a 10min walk though the nature reserve which seems to have more accessible times. Good spot overall but maybe not too private given popularity of site.
Great spot, quiet, close to the centre, and with great views.
