1 Route de Chizé, 79370, Celles-sur-Belle
Been here?
Free shaded municipal parking in a former park near the public swimming pool. Currently occupied by travellers; recent visitors report broken services (non-functional power boxes, no water), waste throughout, and an uncomfortable atmosphere. Height bar present (open in summer). Previously praised as calm and pleasant. Visit nearby Abbey and small shops instead.

It could have been very good if the services were working. Everything is broken.Translating
We turned around immediately; it was occupied by Travellers. We arrived at 9:30 p.m., did not feel comfortable, and there was not another motorhome, so we left. In addition, they were casually using the municipal swimming pool even though it was closed. Well, some people really have the good life. Anyway.Translating
I usually stop at this area, which I appreciate very much. At the moment it is no longer possible: Travellers occupy the site, with rubbish everywhere and excrement with toilet paper.Translating
Unfortunately, we could not stay because the site is currently occupied by Travellers.Translating
Slept very well, quiet place, shaded pitch. I recommend this place.Translating
Interesting parking area, but unfortunately the toilets were not operational as of June 3, 2026. We spent the night a little farther away, on Rue de la Gare, where there are toilets.Translating
Beautiful pitches under the trees. After entering, drive around the toilet building on the left; the barrier is open! The electricity boxes do not work. Disposal and water are by the toilet building!Translating
Thank you to the municipality for this beautiful motorhome area. Peaceful night. Terra Aventura is very nice.Translating
Plenty of green space and private spots to park up. Close to town where you can visit the beautiful Abbey. No water but there is a drain and bins. Quiet nights sleep with only a couple of other vans nearby. The height restriction bar was open when we stayed so no problems with our 3m high van!
Very beautiful, huge area, formerly a campsite. Very quiet. Thank you to the municipality for this lovely place.Translating
Beautiful, shaded area on a former campsite. Beautiful abbey to visit with a large garden whose entrance is free. Bakery, grocery shop, and bar-tobacconist around the abbey. Small market with a charcutier and fruit and vegetables on Wednesday at the foot of the abbey church. Also a dairy selling excellent goat cheese and local honey. The only small drawback is that the services leave something to be desired.Translating
Very beautiful park next to the sports facilities, parking on the grass. Thank you to the municipality for this lovely welcome. Small town with a few shops, an abbey church, and a temple.Translating
Very beautiful, quiet place with a huge area for parking. Services accessible despite the current construction. Thank you to the municipality.Translating
Good for us: we eat and leave. The weather is disastrous and there is nobody here.Translating
Superb free area near the town center. Vehicle parking is not well signposted. I arrived at night and parked near other motorhomes. Very quiet place. The summer swimming pool is right next door and opens at 10 a.m. Bakery nearby. Very clean. Thank you to the municipality for this parking area. On the day of my visit, disposal and water for filling were available.Translating
Thank you to the municipality for allowing motorhome owners to stay in a quiet, shady place, especially during this heatwave. Let us continue respecting the cleanliness of such a place; it is so rare.Translating
Very good, attractive, and clean area. Disposal and water refill without any problems. Thank you to the municipality.Translating
Very practical parking, with shaded pitches. There are no sanitary facilities. Convenient for visiting the abbey. Unfortunately, it was impossible today because a concert was taking place inside it.Translating
The Travellers were no longer there. Very quiet place. No water point or toilets. Very good for an overnight stop.Translating
The place is currently occupied by Travellers. A surreal sight: fighting roosters, hens, and so on. It is this kind of behavior that gets motorhome owners expelled from municipalities.Translating
Many thanks to the municipality and its residents for welcoming motorhomes free of charge.Translating
Thank you to the municipality. Perfect for a stopover: shady and flat. Bins available.
A large, well-maintained parking area next to a major sports facility. The spaces intended for motorhomes are not clearly marked, but this apparently causes no problems. Water is currently turned off. Thank you to the municipality for this beautiful spot.
Area without water or electricity, but in a lovely setting near the sports fields. A pleasant surprise with the Royal Abbey, its park, and its garden.
Quiet area that remains conveniently accessible near the village, but there is no more water, electricity, or sanitary facilities. Camping-Car Park project.
Great. Very quiet night. Terra Aventura walk. Lots of shops, very good. Thank you.
Pleasant, clean, tree-lined, and quiet pitch. The sanitary facilities were closed out of season. Thank you, kisses to everyone.
Today, October 5, 2024, arrived around 1 p.m. Barrier raised. Four motorhomes installed. More than 30 spaces available with free electricity and water. Thank you to the municipality.
Thank you to the town hall for welcoming us into this park with magnificent trees. I did not try the electricity on this Sunday during Heritage Days. Lots of people at the Royal Abbey. Lovely organ concert in the church.
Yes, the height barrier is in place from the end of August through September to prevent incursions by Travellers, which I understand. There has never been electricity here, but there is plenty of water from the hose. Thank you to the municipality. Much better than parking opposite the château. See you soon.
