Trollhättans Camping

A beautiful, nature-oriented city campsite with abundant trees. Excellent sanitary facilities and a kitchen with a pleasant adjoining common room. The centre is within walking distance, with a lovely park and swimming pool nearby.

Campsite very well located for visiting the city and the Saab museum. Very clean toilets, friendly and competent staff. Shaded pitches available. The railway station is five minutes away, with a direct SJ train to Gothenburg taking 30 minutes.

Very friendly welcome, lovely site with or without sun and electricity. Very clean sanitary facilities. Good access to cycle paths. We did not find the road noise bothersome. The reception sells the essentials for campers, hygiene products and ice cream. Very good waste separation.

Despite our booking error, we were given a new pitch as a goodwill gesture, many thanks. The new pitches had just opened and are well laid out. Very clean sanitary facilities, friendly staff, and a short walk to the centre. Nothing to complain about.

They have built 17 new motorhome pitches near the canal. Unfortunately, it is insanely expensive. 425 SEK per night in May and 495 SEK per night in July when choosing a one-night stay, with electricity included. There are no services on the pitch; they are in the service building 150 m away. The prices are the same as inside the campsite.

Well-located campsite within walking distance of the city. Check-in via QR code is easy, with a choice of three languages. Well-maintained sanitary block. Renovated section with large, level pitches. It was not yet in use and is somewhat farther from the sanitary block.

Great place to stay. Check in online via QR code. We received an access number for entry, which also works for the amenities. Everything is very clean. Not sure about security when leaving for the day, as it is not fenced. However, there are always other campers around, so it should be fine. We walked into town along the river, only about 2 km. Would recommend.

Arrived late, when only online booking was possible. That was somewhat complicated: bring patience! The sanitary building had a good standard, but it is not advisable to choose a pitch nearby, because every time the door opens it beeps—loudly. However, the magnificent surrounding landscape, including waterfalls, makes the stay a wonderful experience.

A nice site, more like a motorhome stop. Anyone looking for an entertainment programme for the family is in the wrong place. We stayed one night. Easy payment and a friendly welcome. Superb service building, the best on our trip! Showers and toilets were very clean and new, with plenty of space. Good location too; the city centre is easily reached on foot. You can hear road noise, but it did not bother us.

The campsite is incredibly expensive and offers nothing. All the pitches are uneven and very tightly divided. Fine for one night if you urgently need somewhere, but otherwise I would drive on next time.

The sanitary facilities were clean and the pitches sufficiently large. We stayed there for one night. Everything was excellent.

Excellent and neat motorhome site/campsite. Reasonably level and spacious pitches, shaded by trees. Good, clean sanitary facilities, with a wonderfully powerful shower. Wi-Fi could be better. Close to the centre and locks, yet quiet. Unfortunately, you cannot see the river from the campsite. The beeping tone from the sanitary facilities can indeed become irritating if you are nearby.

Great central location, but no shade on the upper pitches. The constant high-pitched beep of the door code at the sanitary facilities is pure torture. Sanitary facilities… well, let’s just say not great. Tolle zentrale Lage, aber ohne Schatten auf den oberen Plätzen. Der permanente schrille Piepton des Türcodes an den Sanitärtüren ist absolute Folter. Sanitäranlagen naja.

Nice campsite, with some uneven pitches. The highlight for us was that the camper was safe here and we had a quiet night. Trollhättan station is 10 minutes away, and a direct train reaches Gothenburg station in 30 minutes. We would do this again immediately.

Great site in the city. Everything interesting can be reached on foot or by the small bus that stops immediately at the campsite. Some pitches are uneven, but nothing that cannot be levelled with chocks or ramps. Very good sanitary facilities, with hand showers in the bathrooms.

We received such a lovely welcome! :) The showers are clean, the water is hot and has excellent pressure. A little dream.

Solid campsite. All our pitches were slightly uneven, but it was not a problem. The sanitary facilities were large and clean. From here, the village is quickly reachable on foot. Easy check-in and check-out.

It is high season and everything is full. We arrived here annoyed, and everything turned out fine. Many pitches, friendly welcome, grass, gravel, electricity and space. 395 SEK, expensive but normal here.

Solid campsite, one hour on foot from the locks. Clean and well maintained. Trees provide shade, but the Wi-Fi was unusable.

We stayed for one night and were satisfied. Clean sanitary facilities, excellent Wi-Fi (the password is in the brochure outside the reception building). The pitch can be reserved online. On site there is a QR code to scan with your phone outside reception hours. Road noise depends on the pitch and is negligible.
