Quiet parking, limited spaces

What a joy to be able to park and sleep peacefully among the vineyards! Many thanks to the municipality for offering us this wonderful spot…

Ideally located. Magnificent viewpoint. Extremely peaceful. About 7 motorhomes can stay here. Village shops—a small supermarket and many local wine sellers—are within walking distance. Highly recommended.

A truly great place and, above all, an official free camper parking area surrounded by vineyards and not far from Haut-Koenigsbourg. It is probably popular for that reason. We were lucky to get a spot. Thank you to the municipality for this wonderful place for campers!

Great parking area but extremely overcrowded. You have to arrive early to get a free space. The view is wonderful!

A very peaceful night spent among the vineyards. Only the passing tractors might be disturbing, and even that is minor… We arrived quite late and there were two motorhomes next to us. We recommend this place.

Magnificent location. Too bad the Haut-Koenigsbourg road is very close, as is the small road along the parking area.

We arrived there on October 15, 2025, at 4:45 p.m., but unfortunately the place was completely full. It looks like a beautiful spot among the vineyards. We drove on to Saint-Hippolyte, Rue de la Montée, site code #59884. A wonderfully peaceful place.

There were already 7 campers at 5 p.m., so anyone wanting to spend the night here should arrive on time. Tomorrow there is a wine festival in the village, so we can taste the new wine again. There are also other places nearby.

A very beautiful place among the vineyards. It is very popular. We had a very peaceful night. You can hike through the vineyards along the trail up to the castle; simply follow the yellow signs. The path is easy, but be careful on the way back to keep looking for the yellow signs so you do not get lost.

We spent a fantastic and very peaceful night surrounded by vineyards, together with 8 vehicles. There is one large picnic table, and that is all. Highly recommended; we would return. One of the best places we have stayed in the area.

Simply a wonderful place. Sleeping among the grapevines, completely surrounded by vineyards. The view from your bedroom of Château Haut-Kœnigsbourg is fantastic. The 360° view all around is amazing. No traffic noise—what more could you want? Five stars, top spot.

Thanks to the municipality and the winegrowers for allowing motorhome travelers to park and admire Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle from below. The visit was very good, with a beautiful landscape among the vineyards. Pure happiness with this view and tranquility.

Because of the noise from a tractor in the vineyard right nearby from 6:30 a.m. on Whit Monday, only 3 stars. Eleven motorhomes push the site to its spatial limits. Levelling chocks are required. Otherwise, beautifully located as described.

We arrived around 8:30 p.m. and the parking area was full, with about 12 motorhomes. There was no room for us. The parking area itself is very conveniently located in a beautiful spot.

Beautiful place, dark and peaceful night, perfect spot for getting up early and climbing up to see the castle.

The camping spot is beautiful. The views in all four directions are simply breathtaking, and you can take a one-hour hike up to the castle. There is a free public toilet in the village.
