2-16 Rue de la Pompe, 33870, Vayres
Been here?
A small parking area facing the Dordogne, suitable mainly for vans and offering a pleasant riverside setting. Access is tight, and recent information indicates that only vans can pass comfortably, with larger motorhomes difficult to manoeuvre. It can be quiet overnight, although nearby residents and evening dog walkers may create activity. There are no bins, and mosquitoes are present.

Small, quiet, immaculate parking area for watching the tidal bore.Translating
Very close to the houses, but the residents are welcoming. It is not quiet in the evening; the neighbors come one by one to walk their dogs, without picking up the droppings, so wear shoes for nighttime bathroom trips. Otherwise, the place is beautiful, and there are many shops a 10-minute walk away. Plus one for the big cat that cuddled me all evening.Translating
Very quiet place on the banks of the Dordogne. Perfect for a 2.70 m high van.Translating
Very nice... the road lights go off at night! No traffic at all, making for a peaceful night. In the evening you can hear the frogs, and in the morning the birds! Pure happiness! Several access points. Waze does not take you via the best one!Translating
We have a Fiat Ducato L3H2. We went via the adjacent street and then reversed for 10 meters to access the spot, which is wonderful for peace and quiet, with a lovely sunset and sunrise.Translating
I would like to warn motorhome travelers: only vans can get through. The street is a bottleneck where it is difficult to reverse. However, via the neighboring street, you can park in a lot next to a restaurant without any problem.Translating
We spent a very relaxed night there. Very quiet and the residents were very friendly. As long as the place remains clean, it should continue to be problem-free.Translating
Very beautiful and quiet place to spend the night in front of the lake. We slept alone. Only two or three houses nearby, but very peaceful. A couple of friendly cats and dogs came to say hello in the morning. No bins or toilets, but lots of greenery.Translating
Very quiet place, 20 minutes from Bordeaux. Park opposite the river, with space for three vans or vehicles. Restaurant next door, open at 12:00, for lunch only. Ideal for one night. Mosquitoes.Translating
We slept in the small parking area of the primary school 50 meters farther on, which is also the second entrance to the cemetery. No water point, but very quiet because it is a dead end. Parking for 20 vehicles. Very quiet because it was during the school holidays.Translating
Fine for one night. We have a campervan 3.50 m high and 5.5 m long. To get there, there are some narrow streets. The place is beautiful but busy with local cars and visitors. Fine spot. Less suitable for fishing, as you cannot get very close to the water.Translating
