Been here?
A campsite and marina beside the water, with a large unmarked meadow offering free choice of pitch and views toward the Maas. A motorhome without electricity or water cost 41€ for 3 adults, 1 child and a dog. The city is walkable, but recent stays reported dirty sanitary facilities, litter and loud music from the adjacent marina until midnight and from 7:30. The campsite area is dominated by seasonal campers.

We were there with 3 adults, 1 child and a dog in a motorhome (without electricity/water) for €41. The reception was unfriendly, the sanitary facilities were dirty and there was only one sink for many toilets. Lots of rubbish, loud music in the evening and hardly any opportunities to walk the dog. Unfortunately, the value for money is not right for us.
It really couldn't be worse. An absolute catastrophe. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the wrong place. Loud music from the adjacent small harbor until midnight, and it starts again at 7:30 in the morning with the same racket. Toilets and showers completely filthy and disgusting. Absolutely not recommended.
Not much to say, except that we won't be coming back: far too expensive and really not clean.
A campsite full of permanent German pitches. Even at reception, no Dutch or English was spoken. The sanitary facilities were downright poor and not worth even 1 star. The location by the water, on the other hand, is very beautiful. That is also about the only thing that might still make this campsite somewhat attractive. Never again for us.
For those who can stay self-sufficient, there is a huge meadow with free choice of space, including spots right by the water—extremely beautiful. The actual campsite is dominated by permanent campers. There is a practical sanitary container near the self-sufficient meadow. If everyone used the toilet brush and cleaned up their own mess, the negative reviews about sanitary cleanliness would be unnecessary.
Mega beautiful pitch on the meadow with a view of the Meuse. The town can be reached on foot. Showers and toilets are okay.
We paid €53 for 2 nights and 2 people (including tourist tax), without electricity. We stayed on a large, unpartitioned meadow. The nearest sanitary container was not very inviting. The sanitary building towards reception was better, but not great either. The service facilities were also not impressive. Too expensive for what is offered. Restaurant friendly and good.
The reception staff were friendly. The site is dominated by permanent campers from North Rhine-Westphalia. The chemical toilet dump was blocked and unusable for all three days we were there.
You are better off avoiding campsites; they are always too expensive for what you get, and this is the case here once again. Drive back into Belgium and sleep for free!
I can absolutely recommend the site and don't understand the negative reviews. Yes, the site is very large, and there is limited space for anyone who needs electricity. However, those who can stay self-sufficient will find plenty of space on the large meadow, often even with a view of the water. The sanitary facilities are basic but functional. The town is easily reachable on foot. I find the price reasonable.
Simple campsite, ideal for exploring Roermond on foot, a 15-minute walk. Two nights (2 adults, 2 children) €69 including electricity. You could freely choose a place on the meadow. The electricity situation was somewhat chaotic. It's best to test the electricity before setting everything up; we had to move again. Basic sanitary facilities in a container. 50 cents for 6 minutes of hot water. The price is justified by the location.
