Harbour motorhome area, winter restrictions

Nearby campsites are cheaper and offer more. The price is simply outrageous.

Definitely keep driving! €35 for what? It is so sad you have to laugh again. An absolute cheek! Bye-bye, you greedy people—we will not come back either! Promise!

After two years, we are back at the Glowe harbour motorhome site. Two years ago we already considered €25 plus tourist tax excessive. Now it is €35 plus tourist tax for this service. Incredible—what does this place think it is? That was the last time. No recommendation. The only solution is to drive on. Unfortunately, no star is not an option.

Nice place. Unfortunately, no toilet or shower is currently open. The grey-water drain in the ground is 30 cm in diameter. Water and 1 kW of electricity are included in the price. Restaurants and shops can be reached on foot in 15 minutes. Great beach, also for dogs. €35 is a little too expensive.

We always enjoyed coming to Glowe for one or two days. At €25 it was never a bargain for a motorhome site. But now charging €35 without any added value is pure rip-off. Shame on you, Glowe—we are out. This is our last night at this site.

Actually a wonderful spot... Electricity included.... Water and waste disposal included (which can of course be limited in winter).... but now comes the shock...... €35.... 70 deutsche marks... 140 East German marks.... just close the site if you want to get rid of us.... this is very, very sad. A statement from the operator would be interesting.....

We wanted to eat here on our way to Cape Arkona and park for two hours. For motorhomes, there are only 24-hour tickets costing €35! Seriously, Glowe, have you lost your minds?? This is how you keep paying guests away. Of course, we drove on.

€35 for 2 people with a motorhome plus tourist tax, regardless of whether it is summer or winter with limited services. Unbelievable rip-off, fellow motorhome travellers, be supportive and avoid this place. A 10-metre boat moored in the harbour pays significantly less for the same service. Why are different standards being applied here? This is not acceptable!

A little expensive but very beautiful at the harbour and close to the beach. Supermarket, fish rolls, bakery, etc. within walking distance.

It is no longer what it used to be—one of our favourite places, a motorhome site for a reasonable fee (€20, then €25). Now, however, charging €35 per day with no fresh water, no proper disposal facilities, and a closed sanitary building while referring us to the main building, which was also closed, is pretty outrageous.

€35/24 hours for a parking space at the harbour without water supply in winter is not just a steep price, but unreasonable. Simply drive on.

€35 parking fee plus €2 tourist tax for a place by the harbour, even if you only want to visit the town. Cars also park here and pay less. Dear municipality, this is a no-go.

Price via the EasyPark app: €28.75 on 19 September 2025. Number of people irrelevant. Fantastic view of the bay and harbour. Parking spaces are very narrow, almost like car spaces, hence the deduction. Otherwise everything is good. Grey-water disposal is somewhat difficult to find at the toilet building. Small drain! Otherwise excellent and very clean. The number of spaces was expanded by about 10 in 2025.

The price put us off. We were here two years ago, when the price was still reasonable. We drove on! There were differing opinions among the campers at the ticket machine. Are motorhomes allowed to park without electricity in the regular parking spaces for 24 hours for €5? No harbour master was present or reachable by phone.

Sorry, this was my last time here. This is just extortion now! Dear municipality, why are boats so much cheaper? You should be ashamed.

If it were €20, five stars; anything else is a complete rip-off. A 10-metre boat in the harbour pays half as much—why?

Twenty-four hours now costs €35 plus €2 tourist tax per person in the high season. Water and waste services are also available only if you buy a parking ticket. Please everyone avoid this place and do not support such price gouging.

Absurd price: €39 for two people including tourist card! An increase of almost 50% since July 2025! We and another motorhome drove on. This is unacceptable, even though the location is beautiful. It is not a special motorhome site, either—just attached to the car park. We believe this was not a clever decision by the municipality.

We did not like the place; one star for the location by the beach, which was not very inviting in the direct harbour area either. Otherwise, very narrow parking bays and outrageously expensive at €35 per night. Narrow access through a residential area. We drove on immediately. It is a shame that the options for motorhomes at the beautiful Schaabe are so limited!

One of the most beautiful motorhome sites of our trip. There are really only two negative points: 1) the marking of the spaces is absolutely poor and confusing; 2) the price increase to €35 is absolutely outrageous and strongly reminds me of Austria. In general, campsite prices in Germany have unfortunately risen sharply. The sanitary facilities were clean and the sunset was a dream.

The motorhome site is really beautiful and we enjoyed staying here, but unfortunately the fee was increased today, from July 7–8, from €25 to €35.

Beautiful location, and the three very well-maintained sanitary units are now accessible without a PIN. The price is now €20 for a full 24 hours including electricity. However, the layout is really packed tightly. You do not have to like that, but if you park here, you should accept this arrangement. Several campers here occupied one and a half to two spaces each.

Great motorhome site. Great location. We will gladly come again.

Very friendly site operator! He was reachable by phone on Sunday and helped us obtain drinking water despite a frost-related complete shutdown. Very helpful, thank you!
