Been here?
A small, rustic campsite in the middle of the Bicaz Gorge, suitable mainly for smaller campers. Electricity, toilets and showers have been reported, with a bar, fire area and spring water also available. The campsite is scenic and close to walking routes, but it is not a full-service site and reception may not be staffed continuously. Recent reports found it both operating and closed, so availability is uncertain.

Important: you should not expect a full-service campsite. However, we paid only €18 per night for the family and van. This means, for example, that the reception is not permanently staffed. We arrived around 6 p.m., at the same time as the owners; if they are not there during the day, I understand the comments saying “everything is closed.” Otherwise, everything is clean, beautifully laid out and wonderfully located!
We went to this campsite on May 21, 2026; it was closed. What a shame.
It is October 10, 2025, and the campsite is closed. So it is not open all year round.
Upon arrival, we found nobody except barking dogs. It seemed completely deserted, which is a shame. A sign said: “WC closed.” We drove on. Very disappointing.
Small, quiet campsite in the middle of the Bicaz Gorge. Beautiful view over the national park. Very friendly and helpful hostess. Many hiking trails nearby. The toilet building is still under construction, but usable and clean.
Clean place, facilities available including electricity, hot shower, possibility of making a fire, and a spring with water flowing from the rock. No connection, but after a 15-minute mountain walk you reach a viewpoint. You can continue climbing if you wish, and the bravest can also take the route down the opposite side, which takes at least three hours. Wow.
Pleasant little campsite with a very warm welcome.
We loved this campsite! We arrived very late and didn't feel comfortable at the lake parking areas, so we found this campsite. We were very comfortable and loved it! You can sleep with your camper beside the river, surrounded by nature. An idyllic place!
The campsite is closed. There is nobody there, and there is no mobile signal, so you cannot contact anyone either. There is also no sign indicating that there is a campsite. According to the roadside stalls, there is a campsite, but you have to call. There is reception at the top of the mountain. What a shame.
Very good campsite. Small but beautiful. The owners are lovely people. Completely new showers and bathrooms. They have bar service and a small fountain two minutes inside the forest where crystal-clear and delicious water comes out. Don't hesitate, it's wonderful!
Great little campsite with room for a few vans / small campers. It's rustic, but scenic and a good starting point for numerous hikes. There are also two Via Ferratas and climbing routes close by. The owners are super helpful, speak English well and share lots of info on what to do in the area. The shower is hot, and bathrooms are clean. Planned one night, stayed for three :)
Very pretty, small, idyllic and simple campsite. Rather uneven; there are perhaps three reasonably level areas for motorhomes up to 6.5 meters. Ideal starting point for hikes.
