151 Rua da Praia Nova, 4485-702, Vila Chã
Been here?
A quiet, free parking area directly beside a small beach, offering sea views, a beach bar and nearby restaurants. Nights are generally calm, with the sound of the sea, although the area can be windy and spaces near the water are slightly inclined. Free toilets and showers are available only during daytime opening hours, with the bar toilets locked at night. Access is tight, and vehicles over 2.35 width or 7 meters may struggle.

We slept one night. Quiet area, with only three other motorhomes. Very windy, but beautiful views and very uncrowded. The bathrooms are closed at night and open at 12:00, but there are cafés nearby that open earlier.
Free parking area right on the seafront. Free toilets, but only during the day while the bar is open. Nice little seaside bar. Several restaurants nearby. We spent two peaceful nights here facing the sea. No fifth star because there are no services specifically for motorhomes.
We spent the night here. The spot is magnificent. There is a water point, but I do not know whether the water is potable. The toilets are locked as soon as the bar closes. In a higher car park, where motorhomes are not allowed, there are public toilets and showers; beware, they close around 7 p.m. Otherwise, there is the municipal swimming pool 15 minutes away by car, costing €2.70 per person.
Parking next to the beach, with good access and very good views. The spaces closest to the sea are slightly sloping, but only a little; those farther back are less so. We spent a very peaceful night, hearing only the sound of the sea.
⚠️ Negative review. Parking area to avoid. Bad crowd: several people stare at you constantly, creating a very unsafe atmosphere. Intoxicated individuals from the bar next door were present, with concerning and sometimes frightening behavior. We did not feel safe at all spending the night there.
Quiet place to sleep, with a beach bar next door. The Continente supermarket is nearby.
Great parking area. We were here for a beach visit. Our vehicle is 10 m long and 2.35 m wide, and we had no problems.
Narrow streets and short parking spaces at the end. Better not come if you are over 2.35 m wide or over 7 m long. Getting in was very difficult. Hopefully we can get out again.
We were there for a short lunch break. Beautiful place. Many pilgrims are in the area. There is a toilet 3 minutes from the site.
Felt like a nice area, the locals were very welcoming contrary to what some of the comments say, and we stayed here on Halloween night! It’s an absolutely beautiful spot and would definitely come back! Also, we would recommend bar Terra Nova, very lovely people and place
Beautiful spot, very quiet; simply park on the side.
Beautiful view, but beware: locals park along the sides of the sidewalks, making it impossible to leave if you are in a motorhome.
Small parking area facing the sea, perfect for a quiet night. The small bar facing the sea can give you the key to the toilets in the prefabricated buildings if needed. Rubbish bin available.
Lovely spot directly by the sea. The owner of the small beach bar is very friendly; he charged our phones and gave us a few beers because we did not have enough cash. Plenty of rubbish bins. In the morning you can sit on the beach bar's chairs or loungers and enjoy your own breakfast, as the bar does not open until around noon.
A quiet place, small but with few people. The spaces are somewhat uneven. Services are closed, although it seems they have a key at the bar.
Perfect place with access down to the beach for those seeking peace and quiet.
Quiet place. Good views. A bar on the premises and several bars nearby. Public toilets, which were closed today, but I think they have keys at the bar. High-speed 5G internet, 100 MB.
I spent two nights here; very quiet and pleasant. Great spot.
Superb viewpoint. Go and see the hut on the beach, a very friendly little bar where French is spoken very well. Recommended.
Opposite the beach. No services. Very beautiful in June. Spaces are almost level, but somewhat small for a 7 m motorhome.
I stayed there for one night. Mostly quiet. I would send smaller campers there because of the parking space sizes. There is a portable toilet, although I cannot say whether it was open. The village has things for daily needs. Quite a narrow village road.
awesome view. access via residential areas, parking right at sea front. slight incline at the front parking area, less at the top section both will take 7m camper ok. used regularly by locals as good walking along coastal pathway & easy access to cafes along the way. some construction of sea front cafe, that's been damaged by rough sea/wind. also no protection from strong winds. no services.
Very beautiful place; we had a peaceful night. There are taps nearby, but they were turned off. There may be water in summer.
Magnificent spot with a splendid sea view. Beautiful beach with a long promenade along it. No problem at all with a large 7.5 m motorhome.
The place is very beautiful, but there is quite a lot of activity, at least during the day. I did not spend the night.
Nice, quiet parking area directly by the beach. There are toilets, but unfortunately they were locked at night. There is a bakery and restaurants nearby.
Peaceful night with beautiful views. We spent one night with a 6 m van. The ground is slightly sloping and it is a fairly busy parking area. We would come again.
Camping is not allowed here. A sign on the beach points this out. We drove 13 minutes farther south in our van and found a great place to stay. The beach there is much more beautiful and expansive.
Pleasant place. At night there are no toilets or other services. The first row of parking is sloped, and the upper row is under powerful streetlights. A lot of activity from early in the morning.
