The pitch is finely gravelled and lies on the Saale. There are sports facilities, apartments, and Bernburg all around. The center is about a 400 m walk, slightly uphill. We stayed here alone and peacefully. The ground is almost level. Ideal for transit or a short stay. There are no disposal or supply facilities, but it is free, clean parking. Following Maps: access was closed due to construction work, so in town we went downhill over cobblestones; it was somewhat tight with the parked cars, given our 7.5-ton vehicle and 2.5 m width. We parked directly by the Saale, with a great view and a quiet night. The town is very beautiful, with many old buildings; the other side of the Saale, the spa park, and the path along the Saale are worth seeing. A small ferry costs only €1.
