Haywood Lane, CV35 7DD, Haywood
Been here?
A roadside lay-by beside Haywood Woods, with short forest walks and a quiet, dark setting at night. It is busy with traffic, dog walkers, and occasional work vehicles during the day, while distant motorway noise may remain audible. There are no facilities, the ground can slope, access is narrow, and the location requires fully self-contained vehicles.

Lovely spot, completely dark at night, no artificial light, very quiet. Nice country walks too. One of my favourite places!
Level surface, quiet road. No cars at night. Good for staying self-sufficient.
Handy place. Slightly awkward to access at present as road closures in place due to new pipeline being laid. Dumper trucks constantly going past until 6pm. Re started 7am. Having said that had a peaceful night. Some dog walkers. Slightly sideways sloping. Clear night stars visible. Would stay here again for sure
As other reviews. The road goes quiet at night, however you can still hear the noise of the motorway in the distance. Slightly sloping.
Nice quiet spot next to the woods. It’s a lay-by on the road but very quiet during the night. Plenty of dog walkers in the morning.
A lovely place to park for the night, and right next to a forest of walks. There were two other vans here overnight, and a number of tractors who went past - but nothing too noisy. A great place to sleep.
What a little gem. Me and the four legged friend enjoyed this parkup, with some great walks for us both in the woods, including the muddy puddles for him. The road is mostly single track, but I managed it in my 9.5m x 3.9m high truck, although gave the roof a nice sweep with the low hanging branches. Would definitely stay again. Quietest nighttime Park up yet.
Really nice place to park near the forest. Stayed here for one night with a cute girlie. Pretty quiet at night, only a few cars passed by. Locals walking dogs in the morning, super friendly. Would recommend.
Good sized lay-by for the local forest. Car park seams permanently locked so the locals park on the road. Very quiet at night. Not facilities. Good 4g. Convenient location. Would recommend.
Stayed 28/3/24 on route down south. We approached from netherwood lane, it was about 9pm so dark, tight in places but fine if you take your time. Bit of flood water from field on way down to the park up. 1 other van there, lay by is quite big so plenty of room. Vodafone & 3 mobile signal ok. Busy in the morning with people visiting the wood.
As all previous comments really. No noticeable litter around and quiet all night. For the purists we noted M40/M42 distant traffic rumble though, that could be the calm and clear morning. Lastly, we had a good EE mobile signal.
Ok for what it is. Quiet and virtually no traffic overnight. A difficult area to find anything so one of the better one’s around here but I wouldn’t say five star, it’s a lay-by on a lane.
stayed 17.10 as its a short drive to NEC for a motorhome show. lovely and quiet. came back then on the 19th and went for a walk around the woods. lovely place.
