Unnamed Road, 24360, Barkelsby
Been here?
A quiet campsite directly beside the sea and beach, with level grassy pitches, clean sanitary facilities, a restaurant, playground and bread service. The 2 km access road is a rough gravel track, and most campers are long-term residents. One-night spaces are reserved, and a reported stay for 2 people and a dog cost 28€ including electricity. Dogs are prohibited along the campsite beach.

Stayed one night as we were continuing on. Super-friendly staff, fresh showers and toilets (bring your own toilet paper). I could definitely imagine going there again.Translating
Relatively nice site... Sanitary facilities are clean. I would not spend a longer vacation here, but it is really good for a few nights (I am here for the fourth time now...).Translating
We stayed here for one night while passing through. Almost all are permanent campers. The lady at reception was very nice. Dogs are prohibited on the entire beach at the campsite, which we found very disappointing.Translating
Very nice, quiet campsite right by the sea. Gray water, fresh water, and toilet can be emptied. Sanitary facilities are clean. Friendly operator.Translating
Beautiful campsite directly on the fjord. However, a German naval military camp is in the immediate vicinity. Friendly staff, bread-roll service, level pitches—everything perfect.Translating
This is a site for long-term camping. Some terribly cluttered, homemade pitches, with sagging enclosures that create a very messy impression. Okay for one night, but no more.Translating
Unbeatable for me. A very nice lady at reception, whose friendly and informative manner helped me a lot as a new mini-camper and eased my concerns. I had plenty of space, sanitary facilities nearby, perfectly adequate and lit at night. The residents were very friendly. The view and beach are a dream. I will come again and can sleep peacefully.Translating
The site is very well located and has its own beach. The staff are very friendly and competent, and the sanitary building by the playground is perfectly adequate. The pitches are spacious and well maintained. The access is a long gravel road (about 2 km), which did not bother us. The only criticism is the price: €40 per night is somewhat expensive, though not unusual.Translating
Great location, clean sanitary facilities, access via gravel road because of the new military base. Everyone is very nice and helpful; food at the restaurant takes a while but is very good. 90% permanent campers. One night, two people, one dog: €28 including electricity.Translating
Not recommended. Too expensive, shabby layout. More suited to permanent campers. Nice location and restaurant.Translating
We left again after one night. The 2 km access via a bumpy dirt track is an ordeal; the tourist pitches are squeezed between permanent campers and are also quite uneven. Having to bring your own toilet paper into the very clean toilets is not so bad. The operators are very nice; the restaurant was closed. We will not return.Translating
Spacious pitches. Clean sanitary facilities. Swimming beach. Restaurant. Playground. Excellent connection to Eckernförde. The access road is bumpy and dusty, but the site was worth it to us.Translating
We liked it very much. The location is somewhat remote, but beautiful, clean, quiet, and relaxing. Nice, friendly staff who welcome you cheerfully. At the end of April and beginning of May 2025, we paid €33 per night for one motorhome and two people; showers included.Translating
A campsite with a bumpy approach, about 3 km from the main road, with a very poor unpaved road. The price does not match the description: €36 for one night, with no longer offer from 5 p.m. to 10 a.m. for €15. The sanitary facilities smell musty. Mostly occupied by permanent campers.Translating
We were here for one night at the end of August, and €15 is a fair price. The tent meadow is slightly behind the campers and requires perhaps a three-minute walk to the beach. The toilet-paper situation is what it is, but the sanitary facilities were clean. The edge of the meadow is bushes, providing some privacy if desired.Translating
The site is superbly located on a beautiful, natural, lightly visited coastal section—on a Friday at the end of August. Sanitary facilities are spacious and clean. The overnight pitch on the tent meadow, from 5 p.m. to noon (not 10 a.m. as stated above), costs €15 including electricity and is very inexpensive. The large, tree-lined, non-parceled tent meadow is only partly flat and level, but beautiful.Translating
Still on the road to Norway and still just as quiet and pleasant!Translating
Adventurous arrival, as has often been written: Google Maps is no help. Friendly staff, and we were able to stay spontaneously for two nights. Very large site with many permanent campers. Small, shabby washhouses and rather long distances. The restaurant on site is overwhelmed, and the food is unlovingly prepared and not recommended. With a dog, you have to walk forever to reach a beach area where dogs are allowed in the water.Translating
We stayed here for one night while passing through, on a spacious, very quiet site with many permanent campers. The only issue is the naval base next door, which can occasionally be heard when helicopters take off, land, or conduct exercises. Please do not let Google Maps navigate you; it always sends you through the barracks ⛔️ Follow the signs instead. Attention: bring your own toilet paper—there is none!Translating
I stayed here for one night while passing through. The site is large and spread out. I was amazed by the absolute silence despite the European Football Championship and so on. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. Fun fact: you must bring your own toilet paper. The staff are extremely friendly. The approach is a little bumpy but well signposted.Translating
Nice location, 500 m from a Bundeswehr barracks with an elite naval commando unit, hence lots of aircraft noise. Poorly signposted access. Dogs have plenty of rabbits to chase. About 50 m to the water. Small restaurant on site. Nice welcome. Service and disposal facilities available. Sanitary facilities functional. If you want to watch an elite unit train, this is the place; otherwise, good hearing protection is useful.
Very nice site. The lady at reception waited especially for us because we arrived shortly after the normal reception opening hours.
After a very adventurous arrival due to a road closure, we finally ended up here. Very friendly ladies at reception. Everything was very straightforward! The site is huge and was very unsettled due to permanent campers returning for the season. At night, however, it was very quiet. We felt comfortable. The shower house is quite cold; probably more pleasant in summer.
Very friendly welcome! We also met some nice permanent campers. The sea is quickly reachable from the motorhome area! Exactly! And bring your own toilet paper!
Quietly located, clean sanitary facilities, directly on the beach.
