Ketton Rd, LE15 8TH, Oakham
Been here?
A very small daytime parking area about 5 mins walk from the lakeside, with lovely walks and good access to Rutland Water. It is popular with dog walkers and runners, and spaces fill quickly. The turning area is tight, and motorhomes over 5m may need to reverse along the narrow track if blocked; signs prohibit camping and overnight stays.

very small turning /parking area at the end of two mile narrow track. often full of parked cars from dog walkers and runners. do not attempt to go here in motorhome bigger than 5m unless you are happy to reverse back to village if the turning area is blocked.
Great spot for day parking only, IF you get lucky with a space. It’s a popular spot and free spaces are filled quickly, and if you don’t get one you’ll need to reverse up a single lane for a while. good access to the lake.
signs saying no camping, no overnight stays
Access for some lovely walks basic spot and not the most level - can be tight to turn around and get out if busy.
Great little park up, just me and one other VW Crafter. Very quiet, first dog walker at about 5:30.
I was the only one there at this great, quiet location. Great to slide open the van door in the morning and drink my coffee looking at the water
Absolutely not suitable for motorhomes. Very small space, impossible to turn around and, moreover, ugly.Translating
absolute gem of a stop over, enough space for about 3 or 4 motorhomes, only disturbed by farmer unlocking gate. bin in corner of car park bonus. great walking in all directions and beautiful views to boot.
