Been here?
A small, quiet family campsite beside a river, with beautiful mountain views and direct access to many hiking routes. The facilities are clean and recently renovated, but the sanitary area is relatively small and can feel crowded at peak times. A bus stops nearby and runs hourly, while the village has no shop; recent visitors reported that bread service was unavailable. Payment is cash only, and a shower costs 1,50€ for 4 minutes.

Beautiful, clean campsite. Friendly owners. In high season, the number of sanitary facilities is rather limited, especially in the evening when everyone returns from hiking. We stayed here before and after our hut-to-hut trek, which started in Hinterbichl. Three kilometers farther on there is a large hiking parking area where you can park for a long time and safely leave the camper during a multi-day hut trek.Translating
Very attractive small campsite, beautifully located. Hiking opportunities in every direction. The bus runs hourly and stops just around the corner. The sanitary facilities are relatively small but very comfortable and always very clean. When the campsite is full, it is difficult to wash dishes in the evening or find a free shower. Most of the time, however, everything is wonderful.Translating
Good campsite, really nice owners, recommended for everyone, amazing views.Translating
Beautiful small campsite, cash only. Friendly female owner, no bread-roll service. River alongside the campsite.Translating
Beautiful site, great location, fantastic panorama. Newly renovated sanitary facilities, everything clean. But there are only two showers and three toilets in the men's area. The women's area has more spacious showers. Only two dishwashing sinks, alongside two laundry sinks that are also used for washing dishes. Prices have generally risen in recent years; by comparison, the price is okay. We paid €96 for three nights.Translating
We paid €58.40 for two nights with two adults, a small campervan, and no electricity. Showers cost €1.50 for four minutes. Unfortunately, it was not possible to order bread rolls for the morning. For two nights it is a fine campsite, with beautiful surroundings for hiking. The owners are often away, which makes it difficult to pay and buy new shower tokens.Translating
Nice little campsite! Very friendly operators and clean sanitary facilities! Ideal starting point for short and long hikes. Tip: hike to Clara Hut!Translating
A very nice campsite with grass and panoramic views. Good facilities and very helpful managers. €41 for one camper, two adults, and a dog—not exactly cheap, considering that a double room with breakfast costs €50 in the same establishment.Translating
Very nice little campsite. You can take many beautiful hikes from there. The local bus can be used free of charge. The owner is very nice. The sanitary facilities were always very clean. We paid €31.20 per night without electricity (electricity €4). Showers cost €1.50 for four minutes, which is completely sufficient. Fair value for money.Translating
Very nice campsite and very friendly owner. The sanitary facilities were always clean and fairly new. Everything needed is available, but there is no glamping, which is a good thing. Direct access to many hikes. In my view, the price is completely fair. I will certainly return; I felt very comfortable.Translating
Beautiful region to stay in, but the campsite is one large meadow without trees. Showers cost €1.50 for only four minutes. Expensive! You need two tokens to wash properly. Ideal starting point for beautiful hikes. Free bus from the campsite.Translating
The campsite was quite full in June, but well organized. Hot showers with a €1.50 token. I was also allowed to charge my phone in the common room. Clean too. Good base for hikes to Klarahütte, Essener Hütte, Johannes Hütte, and so on, via the Ströden parking area.Translating
The site is wonderfully located. But €28 for a VW van without electricity, for two people, plus €1.50 for shower tokens is too much for me. Toilet paper was not replenished either.Translating
Amazing!!! Very friendly owners, beautiful environment. No designated pitches, but very quiet and peaceful. You’re in between the mountains and next to a little river. We were almost completely alone and ended up staying 2 nights instead of just 1. Very clean and renovated sanitary building. Restaurant and waterfalls nearby, both recommended to us by the owners and very much approved. Only “downside”: hot water for the showers is with coins (€1,5/4 minutes). Highly recommend!!!
Good welcome and an unmarked pitch with electricity. Three nights cost me €32, beside a stream. Splendid panorama and starting point for many hikes. Fast Wi-Fi near the sanitary building. Clean toilets in the basement. Meeting room available. Attention: cash payment only. It is often very difficult to find someone at reception. (Kitchen)Translating
Small, cozy campsite at the end of the valley. Clean washhouse. Many hikes are possible from there.Translating
Great site, nice operators. Showers with tokens, €1.50. Excellent location—unfortunately, cash payment only.Translating
We just arrived from a 2 hour ride. Before going to the reception we take our dog to a small grassfield away from the reception. There is nobody on that pitch so we clip off the leash from the dog so she can make a small pee. We hear the owner screaming and running to us to tell us we have to leash the dog. Very unfriendly way to welcome us so we left directly. Hopefully this will be a lesson.
