Green and quiet. On the edge of the river with a park and allotments nearby. Fine for a night.

Night spent from July 14 to 15, 2026: a tragic night for French football. Nevertheless, the description given by other users is entirely accurate. There is room for 6 to 8 motorhomes. Warning: to get there, do not take Allée des Acacias from Rue St Maurice; use Quai de la Somme, which flows to the left, and you will arrive directly at the parking area. Allée des Acacias is closed to traffic.

Very beautiful shaded spot, very quiet and fairly flat. Close to walking and cycling routes, and very close to Amiens.

Good for walking, cycling, or visiting Amiens and its cathedral, but many cars come and go to reach the gardens, creating a lot of dust. Quiet night.

Ideal for taking bicycles to Amiens and the hortillonnages. Very quiet night, with some traffic related to the gardens but nothing disturbing. No particular smells noticed; there were two vans and one motorhome.

The setting is interesting, but there is a nauseating manure smell. I could not determine where it came from, but it really ruined our night. On the other hand, the area is open enough to admire lightning during a storm! Once the allotment gardeners have left, by 10 p.m. at the latest, there are six spaces for vans.

Indeed, a good address with shade, appreciated during these heatwave days. A municipal police car came by this morning while we were having breakfast outside, and the officers greeted us amicably. During the night, an animal tore open the bin provided. We picked everything up to leave the place clean. Ideal location for walking or cycling into town.

Nice, quiet walking/football parking area, directly on the cycle path to Amiens. You do not need anything else.

Great place. Shade. Fifteen minutes by bike from the center. Worth visiting, especially the cathedral. Quiet location with beautiful cycle paths. The gate to the gardens now closes at 8:30 p.m.; afterward there are no more passersby. Plenty of bins.

Parking in pleasant surroundings, near the canal and pretty allotment gardens, close to Amiens. Quiet night among other motorhomes. No problems with the garden owners; a fence and gate closing at 7:30 p.m. prevent disruptive parking. Bin available.

Great spot, not large but spacious enough and reasonably flat. Supermarket nearby, as well as Amiens city center with its beautiful cathedral. You need to take a small incline with a bend to reach this lower parking area. Next time we will use the parking area by the animal ruin, which requires less maneuvering.

Perfect, quiet place next to an allotment complex. We stayed there with several other campers. It is best to cycle to the center on this side of the canal; do not cross at the lock because the road surface there is very poor.

We could not find this motorhome site, even with navigation. The street is a dead end. We drove around a little longer but then gave up.

Excellent free parking spot next to allotment gardens on one side and the towpath along the Somme on the other, a few hundred meters from La Madeleine Cemetery, where Jules Verne is buried. Free to visit. Very quiet for one night or several. Recommended.

Beautifully situated, very quiet, and the center is easily and quickly reached by bicycle. We stayed with two motorhomes.

We had a very quiet night here. Apart from us, two other vans were parked. There is a bin; please keep the place clean. You can jog or walk a nice loop along the canal. Amiens is within walking distance. Great for an overnight stop.

Nice spot by the canal. Only a couple of other vans with us. Easy walk into Amiens where there are lots of restaurants. Notre-Dame Cathedral is impressive and considerably larger than the one in Paris.

It was a really nice place. Quiet and pleasant. It’s right next to a river and really close to the city center. We recommend staying here if you want to go to Amiens.

Pleasant parking area close to the city center. Too bad that during the day there are quite a few people going to the gardens at the end of the parking area. We did not notice any mosquitoes. No facilities.

Wonderful quiet place. There is also the Filature Brewpub, a nice microbrewery where you can have a drink and/or eat. It is a five-minute walk away! Just cross the canal, follow the little path on the right, then turn right and you will see it on the left. The barman in the caravan is very friendly too.

We spent a very quiet night here with 8 other vans. It is sort of a dead end road at the entrance of a complex of allotment gardens. Easy to reach, flat, close to a canal and not far from the city. Good for walking dogs also.

Charming spot close to the city and a three minute walk to an amazing community garden. No facilities (toilets/trash cans) but deserves five stars for the free parking and inspiring location.

felt safe and quiet, the person who locked the allotment gates was taking photos of all the vans there which felt quite uncomfortable. He called someone else who came and they spent quite a while talking, and pointing at all the vans. couldn't quite hear the conversation but it felt like they were annoyed about how many vans were staying

Beautiful place surrounded by community gardens. A bus stop to the city is a five-minute walk away, or it is a 30-minute walk to the city. We did have some trouble with noisy young people during the night. Many people come to park to walk or tend their gardens, so a space is not always guaranteed.
