Overall a good overnight park spot. However, during the night there were people driving around like crazy, hence the lower points...
Good spot, free after 6pm - 8am
if longer than 5m you will need to lay for 2 spaces signs saying ok for overnight still. pay with mi permit app.
Big car park, level ground, quiet enough but no facilities. Overnight is allowed, cost us £1.20, pay more if you take more than one space. Good enough overnight while travelling.
No longer overnight parking allowed as of 20/5/2025.
Quiet sleeping place. Arrived at 8 p.m. and paid £2.20 until 11 a.m. the next day. Nice town within walking distance and a lovely meadow behind the parking area for walking the dog.Translating
We must have picked a bad night. Lots of load exhaust racers, then car turned up and people playing load music and standing outside car screaming to it. Mid week too. Oh well, we stayed as too late to get kids up and move at 11.50pm but wouldn’t use to overnight again. Shame, as it’s a quick walk into town
Good to stay overnight. Free 6pm to 8 am. Hourly rate payable Monday to Saturday 8 am to 6pm Sunday is now £1.50 8am to 6pm. Can pay by cash or card at machine or app on phone. Parking Warden does come round to check. Saffron Walden is a lovely town well worth a visit.
Great overnight parkup. Quiet and plenty of space on a saturday night. Sign suggests you should park over 2 spaces and pay for both rather than overhang. Use the machine if paying for 2 tickets as the app will only let you pay once. Under a 10 minute walk from town centre.
No caravans. We received a £35 fine.
Very quiet parking area beside a pleasant village worth visiting. Toilets 500 m away in the town centre.Translating
Parked up here today with intention of staying overnight, just as dusk arrived, so did a small silver car, last 3 letters of reg plate BZE, with two lads on board, circled my van twice whilst closely checking out my wheel clamp. I have one way glass and they didn’t notice me inside. They drove slowly round the car park, needless to say I didn’t stay.
