40 Am Bergsee, 98553, Schleusingen
Been here?
This large, gently sloping campsite lies beside the Bergsee reservoir, with swimming, an FKK area, boat rental, a playground and a water slide. The sanitary facilities and showers are simple, very old and recently reported as run-down, although the site is inexpensive. A snack bar is available on site, and some areas are quieter than others.

The toilets stink and are very old and run-down, as are the showers. There are swimming areas and an FKK area, and it is very cheap. Unfortunately, some people leave cigarette butts lying around—yuck!
You can stand on the grass with a view of the lake, but unfortunately the mountain lake is dry. Otherwise, everything looked somewhat old and dilapidated. Many permanent caravans at the campsite. We moved on; it was not an option for us.
Always beautiful.
We stayed with our motorhome in a quiet area. The large reservoir is suitable for swimming and water sports. In our opinion, the snack bar was too expensive (€3.70 for a popsicle / €3 for a small coffee).
Very friendly welcome. You can hear the road. Choose your own pitch. Showers from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Campervan, two people, and dog: €24. We like it!
Dogs are not allowed in the water. Unfortunately, many people let their dogs into the lake in the evening. Showers only between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., not in the morning. We will not return.
Charming site with a relaxed atmosphere and clean sanitary facilities. Motorhomes over 8 m are only conditionally suitable because most pitches are sloped. From the bar, you can reach your pitch in the lower area directly via a long water slide. Great that the operators give young people the opportunity to party here. From 10 p.m., security ensures that quiet hours are observed. It works! Excellent—we will return!
Campsite directly on the lake; we liked it very much. Clearly, you cannot expect luxury at €10 per night plus €7 per person, but you are standing directly by the lake. Anyone wanting to avoid the party crowd can choose the right-hand side, which was relatively quiet. The toilets and showers, housed in containers, are showing their age, but acceptable if you are not demanding. We will return!
Simple campsite, but you can stand directly by the water. There is also an FKK area. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. I would avoid the site on holidays such as Father’s Day. Concerts and events are also held here. Check the website beforehand.
