Been here?
This is a simple gravel parking area beside the Fjolstadtrøa Museum, suitable for a one-night stop near the E6. Recent stays were calm, with traffic reportedly stopping around 21h30, although older reports mention road and aircraft noise. There are no services, but the museum, grazing sheep and a 6km hiking route are nearby. The site is next to the forest and has space for at least 5 campers.

We just spent the night here. Traffic stops around 9:30 p.m. We were not bothered by the airplanes. There was a flock of sheep grazing nearby. The museum site is charming, and we were lucky to meet the caretaker at the end of the day, who opened the doors of the old farm for us. A lovely encounter and an ideal resting place, as it is not far from the E6.Translating
Great place with no noise problems! A friendly man from the museum came over for a chat and gave me a private tour of the museum.Translating
Quiet place with very little traffic; we were lucky enough to meet Erling STAU, who opened the doors of his FJØLSTADTRØA MUSEUM for us.Translating
Fast and noisy traffic until late at night. One car honked several times to disturb us. I would never have believed there could be so much traffic on a secondary road. Several airplanes also passed with infernal noise. After midnight it was quiet until 7.Translating
Nice, quiet place at night. It is only a parking lot directly beside the road. We slept well here.Translating
Perfect for one night or even a good daytime stop. The little museum is absolutely charming even when closed, and the 6 km hike accessible directly from the parking lot is magnificent. We even saw an elk in a field when arriving. Please respect this place.Translating
Perfect overnight when travelling on E6
There was only one other motorhome next to us; otherwise we were alone. A pleasant farm museum is right next door. Sheep graze there too. There was no traffic at night.Translating
The night here was okay, although there was a lot of car and airplane noise, and quite a few sandflies in the morning. There is a lovely circular walk nearby where you can see sheep.Translating
Very nice, quiet spot directly at the edge of the forest. There are no services at all. Please take your rubbish with you.Translating
We wanted to spend the night here, but around 8 p.m. a car pulled up in front of us and repeatedly flashed its large headlights. Then the driver took a photo and left. We drove away afterwards.Translating
Good place for a night and morning, in day few cars passed every hour. Space for 5 or more campers.
Museum parking at a Norwegian farm from the 1800s, ideal for spending a quiet night without services. There were two of us (vans and a motorhome). The road is little used apart from the famous noisy motorcycle already mentioned, which makes a few trips at the beginning of the evening.Translating
Spent a night here...was quiet with the occasional car passing by, but that wasn't an issue. Nice forest with a path to walk along close by behind the museum. Can hear the sheep bells ringing in the evening and morning, but not through the night.
Very convenient, not far from Trondheim. Beside the road but not too much traffic. There were four motorhomes.Translating
