Vereda de La Estrella, 18160, Güejar Sierra
Been here?
A quiet riverside parking area near the Vereda de la Estrella, with walking routes and a nearby restaurant. The river is close and suitable for bathing, but access is hazardous for motorhomes because the mountain road is narrow, winding and bordered by drops. The road is 2,30m wide with a 20km/h limit, and larger vehicles are not recommended.

Incredible place. I know the area and must admit it is risky to enter here with a motorhome during possible traffic, because the road is very narrow with hardly any room to manoeuvre. I entered with a 7-metre motorhome; I do not recommend it, as it could become a major problem. No prohibition on overnight stays or on passage by any type of vehicle.Translating
Dangerous mountain road for motorhomes, very narrow, with ravines and tight bends! There are signs warning you; very dangerous mountain road, 2.30 m wide and limited to 20 km/h.Translating
Currently, the parking area cannot be reached because of road construction at a bridge.Translating
Quiet parking area beside the river where you can swim, ideal for starting a walk. There is a bar-restaurant and you are at the gates of the national park, although the parking area lies outside its boundaries, so there are fewer problems. Human waste… what can I say? Let’s not make people hate us; let’s take care of it.Translating
This is a beautiful place to stay next to the river. We spent 2 nights and when we arrived there were 2 campers but lots of space to be well-separated. *Important note: the road to get to this spot is very narrow with deep cliffs in some parts, 20km/hr the entire way. Vehicles usually go in the morning and return in the afternoon. I would say past 7 or 8pm you won’t find vehicles on the way.
Great place to do the Vereda de la Estrella early and eat a plate of Alpujarran food on the way back.Translating
