Vrachos Camping is a shaded campsite near Meteora, with views from the swimming pool. It has a restaurant, tavern, mini-market, gas, washing machine, bread drop-off point and barbecue areas. For 2 adults and 2 children, the price is 46 € in cash or 48 € by card. The toilets and showers are clean but old, and the grounds are somewhat disorderly; reception may feel cold.

Good position, near Meteora for sightseeing. This is the end of the advantages. Significant amount of disorder. Plants not maintained. Clean, but old toilets and showers. Very cold reception. ID is kept for the entire stay. Try some other campsites nearby.
Very average welcome, well located for visiting Meteora, lots of shade.
Good site with clean sanitary facilities and a nice pool. Prices are reasonable considering the tourist location. 2 adults + 2 children: €46 cash or €48 by card?! Strange! And beware of rip-offs at the restaurant! One bottle of beer €5.95!!! That's unacceptable!!!
Basic campsite. The welcome was not very warm; you immediately feel that you are in a tourist area. I was unlucky and happened to arrive on a particularly noisy evening. Four stars nonetheless because it perfectly meets what is expected of a campsite, with clean sanitary facilities and hot showers with good pressure.
very nice ambiance and view of Meteora and great refreshment in the pool. very nice toilets.2 adult+ 2children=46€
Very beautiful view from the pool. At first glance it does not look promising, but we had a quiet night. There are shaded spots and new, clean bathrooms. They offer a discount for cash payment. About €30 for a motorhome and 2 people with electricity.
Nice site below the monasteries. We cycled up with e-bikes. No problem. Go early before the buses arrive. The operator is fine and gave us all the monastery plans, opening hours, etc. Sanitary facilities are very clean. Wi-Fi weak or nonexistent. Nice pitches that can be chosen freely. About €30 is fine. Good for visiting the monasteries. Pool is okay. Can recommend it.
Very warm welcome. Many shaded pitches of different sizes. Adequate sanitary facilities. Bus stop for Meteora in front of the campsite. Large pool with a lifeguard. Tavern offering grilled food and local dishes at reasonable prices. 10% discount on the campsite and restaurant when paying cash. Friendly managers who speak French. They gave us a book about Greece.
Very warm welcome at this campsite divided into zones. Some pitches are very small, while others are much larger; the manager speaks French. There are many shaded spots. The sanitary facilities are adequate. The pool is fairly large and well maintained. Overall, however, the site is somewhat run-down. The price is €29 per day, everything included, when paying cash, and €32 with a bank card!
Greatly located campsite. Very clean. The pool is an additional advantage. Weak WiFi with limited range. Not particularly good value at €47 (when paying in cash, as it would be €50 by card) for 4 people with a rooftop tent. There is a tavern, which we did not use.
Decent campsite. You can choose your own pitch. Clean showers and toilets. On-site tavern with good products. Regarding payment for both the tavern and the campsite, the owner charges more if you pay by card. The campsite cost €25 with ACSI, €27 by card. Dinner at the tavern was €33.50 by card, €30 in cash. Should be reported to ACSI for improper conduct.
The campsite is well located and has a pool. WiFi is available, but only works in the seating area. There are enough showers and sanitary facilities, although they are not always very clean. Good value for money, and the viewpoint is easily accessible.
Pitches are narrow. There is no place to wash clothes by hand; on the other hand, there are many sinks.
Good campsite with pitches of very different sizes. Free choice of pitch. The sanitary facilities on site are very clean. The WiFi at the pitch was useless for us. The pool is in very good condition and supervised by a lifeguard. €25 per night with ACSI. Not super cheap, but fair considering the location. Unfortunately, the bus service to Meteora has been discontinued. Taxi €12–15.
Ridiculously small pitch; with my 6.36 m van and bike rack, I cannot fit into the marked spaces, which are laid out like a supermarket car park. The sanitary facilities are beyond reproach, both in quantity and quality. Reasonable price with the ACSI card.
Great campsite. Very clean sanitary facilities. €52 for a motorhome, 2 small tents, and 4 people. Nice pool. I recommend taking a taxi up (€12) and walking back down along the road for some beautiful photos (allow 1 hour). Authentic tavern on the way down.
An original campsite!
Stayed 28-30/5/26 good location. Good clean sanitary facilities, restaurant excellent. Great place to order taxi for trip up hill 12e. Pool lovely. Pitches a little bit tight so go early for better selection. Friendly family run.
Central location with good value for money. The pitches vary in size and are not all level, but there are good sanitary facilities and a large pool. The owners are very nice and the tavern offers good food at low prices. We paid €25 per night for a camper van including 2 people. Absolutely fair.
As others have said - so busy and park ups a bit chaotic … glad we arrived around lunch time before the rush. Nice pool. Showers hot. Very convenient for Meteora, and cheaper if you pay cash.
Good for one night. View of Meteora. Crowded. Pitches of varying sizes, very uneven ground. Clean sanitary facilities. Lots of taverns nearby.
A decent place to stay when visiting Meteora. Unfortunately, it feels like a large urban campground. Very cramped, very crowded, and quite busy. No holder for the showerhead. Water temperature varies depending on the day. On the plus side, there’s a large—though cold—pool, and it’s only a 30-minute walk from the monastery. €28 per night if you pay in cash.
It’s a good clean efficient campsite convenient for Meteora. However pitches are very small and it felt more like a motorhome stop we were so close to the vans next to us. Toilets and showers clean and good. Taverna food ok but not particularly good. Overall functional but not somewhere I would want to stay on for more than 2 nights. Pool not yet open.
Great location, pool, and well-arranged sanitary facilities.
Ideal for visiting the monasteries, even on foot. Good tavern. Motorhome service and waste disposal at the back of the campsite.
We stayed for two days and it was excellent. We stopped in section A, the upper section, near the restaurant, and had space for an awning, table, and chairs. The building with the toilets, showers, and sinks was very clean. Good pressure and very hot water. The waste disposal area in section B, at the very bottom, was only as clean or dirty as the previous user left it. The campsite owner does not throw the rubbish there; your neighbour does.
We did not stay. The site was far too full for us and the pitches were too narrow. The value for money was not appropriate for us.
The operators were quite stressed, with many campers. We arrived at 8 p.m. and only got a poor pitch; the next morning we moved and then it was absolutely fine. Sanitary facilities are older but clean. Thirty minutes on foot to the large monastery.
The campsite is ideal for visiting the Meteora monasteries. Accordingly, it is very busy. The pitches are not very spacious. Large motorhomes have problems. The sanitary facilities are adequate. The motorhome waste and service area is atrocious. I have rarely seen such a disgusting chemical-toilet disposal point. The campsite restaurant is very nice.
The site is okay: sanitary facilities are good and clean, many—but not all!—pitches are small and awkward, the chemical-toilet disposal is underground, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Acceptable, but the pitches are so small that it’s like being in a car park (don’t expect to put your awning out, or even have room for your table and chairs). As mentioned by others the chemical toilet disposal is disgusting, and with a full campsite I’m sure that they could afford to install better and cleaner facilities.
Excellent campsite. Immaculately clean and impressive sanitary facilities. As walkers, we were able to visit the monasteries on foot and enjoy a hot shower upon returning. The tavern is also excellent; it opens at 6 p.m. and serves typical dishes and charcoal-grilled food. We certainly agree that waste management needs to be improved and does not live up to the rest.
A very nice site. Great location for the monasteries. Very good sanitary facilities. But the disposal point for toilet cassettes is disgustingly filthy; therefore, two stars deducted.
Nice campsite, friendly welcome, accepts the ACSI card. Possibility to prepare and eat under cover beneath two large shelters with tables and benches. For walkers, easy access to the monasteries.
