Motorhome parking below the Emmentaler show dairy in Affoltern, in gently rolling Emmental countryside at 801 m altitude. Large, well-marked spots (fine even for 7 m vehicles), pay-and-display at 1 CHF/hour, 24/24, max 12 hours, no services. A playground and bakery are within 50 m, plus a small road just behind that sees some traffic. The dairy tour is a highlight. In winter the site is closed and strictly enforced elsewhere in the village, with fines up to 2000 CHF for overnighting outside it.

Large parking area below, CHF 1/hour (24/7), maximum 12 hours. Very interesting tour of the cheese dairy. They do not like people staying overnight there.
No chance here in winter: the site is closed, otherwise there are prohibition signs everywhere and a CHF 2,000 fine. We were disappointed and drove on. This is no way to attract tourists to the show dairy.
Good for one night, children’s playground right beside it, accessible at all times. Road just behind, with moderate traffic. 1 franc/hour.
I confirm the previous comments: impeccable, and the bakery is excellent. What is also good is that you can recharge your electric bicycles despite there being no electrical hookup.
In front of the show dairy there are several large, specially designated parking spaces for motorhomes (our 7 m vehicle had more than enough room). Perfect for visiting the cheese dairy.
