2 St2240, 92348, Berg bei Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz
Been here?
A level gravel parking lot beside a cemetery, quickly reached from the motorway and suitable for large motorhomes. The motorway is clearly audible, though recent stays found it acceptable. There are no facilities, and the ruins of Gnadenberg monastery can be reached on foot.

Pleasant parking area by a cemetery. Quickly accessible from the motorway.
Nice little overnight spot. The motorway was noisy but did not disturb us too much. The groundskeeper arrived at 8 a.m. and was friendly. No facilities, but space to walk the dog.
Great place for a break or overnight stay. You can hear the motorway, but it did not bother me. The access road is steep and rather narrow, but unproblematic for a panel van. It is a cemetery parking area and primarily intended for cemetery visitors. In my view, barbecuing or camping behaviour, as suggested in another post, is completely inappropriate here.
Excellent parking area for a break. Lots of space and, above all, plenty of shade. The toilet was open and very clean. For an overnight stay, the motorway would be too noisy for us.
Access is currently subject to restrictions, as only residents are allowed through. A lorry demolished the historic town gate in early September 2023. Since then, access has been restricted.
Beautiful, free parking area. Three of us stayed here: a roof tent, a camper, and a Fiat Ducato. There is plenty of space. The motorway did not bother us at all. Access is currently height-restricted because of construction: 3 m and 3.3 m access are possible. Do not drive on the cycle or footpath! The toilet is open from April to November. Barbecuing is possible.
Nice parking area with a toilet in the cemetery building. We stayed one night. Access is okay. Large motorhomes over 9 metres probably cannot get there. You can hear the motorway, but despite having the windows open it did not bother us.
Only accessible via a small, very narrow road. Towards the end it is also a footpath marked “residents only”.
Stayed here for Christmas Eve - don’t ask - on my way to Hungary. Super quiet, no issues to stay the night. Don’t overdo it: late park, early rise. This is a cemetery after all. Clean. Toilet was closed in my case.
The caravan in the photo is permanently parked here. Apart from the faint motorway noise, it is very quiet next to the cemetery.
