Camping Les Sapins

A campsite that does the job given how little there is around, but expensive for services that are somewhat outdated. Very quiet and just a stone's throw from the village of Epagny, five minutes by car from the Gruyère town.

A very nice campsite in a good location. The sanitary facilities are clean, but already very old. How do you get hot water for washing dishes? You have to fill a separate bucket and press a green button. The Wi-Fi really only works on the bench in front of reception. At €100 for two nights (motorhome and two people), it is not quite appropriate.

Bit of an odd campsite as creating static slots. We had reserved a pitch but reception closed on arrival - can self register on their online system but couldn’t confirm I had a reserved pitch so just chose a pitch. Otherwise all good! Ideal for visiting Gruyeres and cycle trips.

Our fourth time coming to this campsite and never disappointed. The welcome is good. The sanitary facilities are clean, and it is also very well located for visiting this magnificent region. Well done.

Campsite near Gruyères, its castle and its delicious fondue (Le Chalet). Impeccable welcome; be careful with the electricity sockets, they are Swiss sockets, but they have a few adapters that saved us. The sanitary and laundry areas remind me of my youth—not the Ritz, but clean. Count on around CHF 40 for two with a four-legged friend. I will leave you to judge the price, but I think CHF 1.50 for the rubbish bag is a bit excessive… but go to the Giger Bar at Gruyères Castle and everything will be fine…

Regardless of the campsite itself, the services are listed here as free, but that is false. Toilet emptying costs CHF 5, the fresh water does not work, and rubbish disposal costs extra. In addition, fresh, grey and black water are in three different locations. Expensive service.

A very run-down campsite. The camper field is quite small and cramped; otherwise there are many seasonal campers. Very muddy in the rain. The sanitary facilities are very clean but old. Water temperature warm but not hot and not adjustable. Only cold water at the sinks for washing and rinsing.

We did not stay overnight, but asked whether we could fill up our fresh water. The lady was very friendly and said it was absolutely no problem. We were really positively surprised :-D

Really well located for visiting the surrounding area, such as Gruyère Castle and the Cailler chocolate factory. Perfect welcome, with great care taken to make the stay pleasant. Extra-clean sanitary facilities. Of course, there are permanent residents in chalets of varying beauty, but that is Switzerland. Daily rate in September: motorhome CHF 11, electricity CHF 3, adult CHF 9.60 and tourist tax CHF 3.

Very quiet campsite. Very close to Gruyère. The receptionist was very friendly. The facilities are old but very clean. The pitches are very spacious and level. Highly recommended.

Very friendly welcome. At the campsite entrance it says no access to the campsite between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., so it should normally be quiet... except when vehicles arrive after 11 p.m. and make noise with their doors for more than an hour. Very clean sanitary facilities.

We stayed one night at this small campsite, very welcoming, clean and quiet. Despite arriving late, we were given access to a pitch thanks to the availability of the truly kind owner. The village is nearby and there are several walks in nature around it.

We used the campsite to empty and fill the water tanks for CHF 5. The girl treated us very well and also let us use the toilets. The only drawback is that grey water is emptied at the campsite entrance into a small drain provided for this purpose; with a large motorhome it would be more difficult to empty.

Impossible to empty grey water; the space is very difficult for a 7.5-metre motorhome. The cassette toilet is emptied inside the bathroom. We only emptied and left.

After calling, we received a great welcome; the receptionist was fantastic. Unfortunately, we were placed in the permanent-resident area, which really looked like a shantytown—noisy and uncomfortable. We ran away. Avoid unless you get a good pitch!

Great! We arrived without a reservation and the receptionist found us a pitch. Excellent.

We arrived and were given a place by phone, as nobody was on site. It was on a slight slope with waterlogged ground. We got stuck in less than two minutes. We called them for help, but they did not want to do anything. Thanks to a resident and some metal tracks found on the site, we managed to leave and find another spot.

Very convenient and welcoming campsite. Friendly and very helpful staff. Check-in is possible until 5 p.m.; afterwards it can only be done online, although I had problems with the website, which was not working. I therefore paid without difficulty the following morning when reception opened. Emptying the fresh-water tank is a little difficult but possible. Recommended for a stopover or longer stay.

Warm welcome, grassy camping pitch, clean but somewhat old sanitary facilities. For those wishing to use public transport, walk along the river towards the bus stop at Epalinges airport; there are more frequent buses. Average prices. We did not need tokens for the showers.

Beautiful site in a very good location, an ideal starting point for the highly worthwhile HR Giger Museum. Very friendly staff and the fondue is delicious! Wi-Fi reception only directly at reception/restaurant. Price somewhat high, as is customary in Switzerland.

Positive point: very close to the village of Gruyère. Another positive point: very clean sanitary facilities and excellent showers. Pitches for touring campers, unlike the many permanent residents on site, are on dirt and mud. Thank you.
