Village parking, quiet nights

As described, a beautiful and quiet spot close to Reims. We used the Artisan Pizza truck near the Carrefour shop for dinner and ate at the picnic tables watching the sunset. One other motorhome turned up and we had a lovely chat with James on his way to Cascais.

We spent one night here on our route through the French Champagne region. There are no services, but it is very quiet, with a playground and picnic area right next to it. Friendly locals. A very peaceful rural village.✦Translating

Quiet spot next to a children’s playground. However, the roosters and the road may disturb light sleepers. The spaces are standard car spaces, but the parking lot is empty at night. We were two vehicles overnight. There are picnic tables, but no shade at all in the parking area.✦Translating

Small parking area on the edge of the village next to a park. Asphalt, level, mostly sunny, small spaces (6 m is really the maximum), no facilities except a rubbish bin. Wonderfully peaceful here. Children do play in the adjacent playground, though. And there is a rooster. There is nothing to do in the village itself, and there is not even a baker.✦Translating

Level parking area with good access, even for larger vehicles. Plenty of room for people and dogs to exercise, with a playground and large meadows. Very quiet until commuter traffic begins at 7 a.m.; light traffic. Thanks to the municipality—and to the rooster for waking us up.✦Translating
