Camping Kalaj

Very pleasant campsite, close to a magnificent beach. Warm welcome from a lovely young woman who helped us with parking and the washing machine. Excellent restaurant with a romantic view, attentive service, complimentary anchovies and desserts. Very clean sanitary facilities, cleaned every day. Very professional and helpful owner; he even lent us his car to go into town.

Very spacious campsite; the price is €20 but it is excellent value, with many things included. The owner welcomed us very kindly and even offered us drinks. The sanitary facilities were very clean, and the restaurant had a spectacular view. The food was high quality, with prompt and attentive service focused on meeting our needs; they brought the food to the campsite.

Spacious campsite with clean toilets and showers. The beach with bars is about 300 m away, but it is very crowded and the sun loungers cost extra. The campsite restaurant has a beautiful terrace directly above the bay with a wonderful view. The food was nothing special and the service was slow. However, it was completely calm and quiet in the morning; there were only two vehicles. We paid €20.

A beautiful place—don't be put off by the narrow access road; it is worth it. Super-friendly operators and a very good restaurant. Card payments are possible.

A great place between the river and the sea. We spent two peaceful days and ate freshly caught fish at the neighboring restaurant; it was excellent. The toilets and showers were clean. We would gladly return.

A good place to spend the night. At the moment, the main road is under construction, so work starts around 7:30 in the morning. The electrical breaker tripped three times when the lights were switched off. If needed, the electrical box is next to the chicken coop. The food is excellent.

Everything was fine, the night was quiet and peaceful. We had a very friendly welcome. The restaurant was incredibly good, they served fresh seafood.

A beautiful campsite directly by the water. The pitches are on a meadow with a direct view of the sea in a quiet location. There is a lovely restaurant right next to the campsite, with delicious food, great service, and especially very reasonable prices. The sanitary facilities were always clean and well maintained.

I came here because of all the five-star reviews. Very friendly welcome! The road to the campsite passes through littered streets. The toilet, washing-up area and showers were not clean at all. A disaster. You can also admire old caravans and trucks as a kind of experience camping. Otherwise, there are many dog owners. The site resembles a petting zoo. Stray dogs bark very loudly and constantly. Peace is impossible.

By the sea, but unfortunately no shade. Nice sanitary facilities and washing-up sinks. Unfortunately, there is no accessible place for emptying grey water. The restaurant serves very good fish dishes, but unfortunately not a single dish without fish.

Very nice site; we were in the front row by the lake toward the sea. Everyone was very nice and helpful. They speak English and a little German. Very lovely dogs, good sanitary facilities, and it was quiet. We ate very fresh fish there in the evening! €12 instead of €20 if you don't take water and electricity.

We stayed at Camping Kalaj for several days and were very satisfied. Quiet location near the sea, with clean showers and toilets. The restaurant is excellent: fresh fish, especially the grilled fish platter, which was delicious. The pitches are large and partly shaded. Friendly staff. Recommended for anyone seeking relaxation.

From the very first moment, Kristian's warm welcome made us feel at home. The staff are very professional and always ready to fulfill the guests' every wish. The sanitary facilities are very clean—even when the campsite is fully occupied, which is not something to take for granted. Magical atmosphere and exceptional food.

In my opinion, the good reviews are for the restaurant. The campsite suits people who eat at the restaurant and then only need a place to sleep. Cleaning the sanitary facilities is limited to emptying the bins and mopping the floor, and there is no ladder for swimming in the lagoon at the campsite. The path over the bridge to the beach is full of wet wipes.

Nice little campsite with everything you need, clean and only a few minutes' walk from the large beach. The approach is signposted; the last few hundred meters are on an unpaved road, but it is easy. The attached restaurant and the friendliness of Cristiano and his brother(?) deserve special mention. Highly recommended!

I’ve been here in Albania for just a few days now with my kids. We found this campsite online, and I must say it fully deserves five stars. There were two young and very friendly guys running the place. The campsite felt safe, and so did the on-site facilities. The restrooms were very clean and well-maintained, with a laundry area included.

I came here from Germany to spend a few quiet days with my daughter, and I must say I felt very comfortable at Camping Kalaj. We felt very welcome and safe. The view is breathtaking, the sanitary facilities are excellent, and the food is truly very, very good.

Very friendly welcome indeed. Access to the black-sand beach, unfortunately full of rubbish, is via a slightly old but very useful little bridge. Three toilets and three showers, all well maintained. Pleasant location facing the lagoon.

Really nice site with friendly operators, good food and drinks. The free-roaming dogs are absolutely adorable. The view is great and the surroundings are simply Albanian. That's just how it is. Definitely a recommendable site.

We spent a week at Camping Kalaj and can recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday near the sea. The location is perfect: only five minutes' walk from the beach, with direct access to the sea, making every day even more special. Very well-kept campsite and very friendly staff. The road to enter the campsite is very narrow, it is on the edge of a very dangerous canal. The road is very raised, the canal is 34 m high, it is not easy to maneuver, there are many waste disposal sites around the campsite, I really did not like it apart from the friendly staff, nothing more

We visited the site at the beginning of May 2025 with our camper and met the friendliest and most helpful owners, Christian and his father, as well as the whole team. Everything is very clean. There is an attached restaurant serving wonderfully delicious, fresh food. We would gladly return and highly recommend it. Konni and Rolf.

We spent a wonderful week at this campsite! The site is well organized, clean, and surrounded by nature. The pitches are spacious and shaded, perfect for both tents and motorhomes. The sanitary facilities are always clean and regularly maintained. The staff are welcoming, available, and always ready to help when needed.
