Chemin des Tanneries, 16150, Chabanais
Been here?
This is a parking area beside the Vienne, suitable for a meal break or an overnight stop, with picnic tables and nearby shops and bakery. Water and electricity are available free of charge, but there is no waste disposal. The area is pleasant and can be calm at night, although the road is fairly busy and market activity may make visits less welcoming. There is no height restriction, but the ground markings are intended for cars.

A quick stop for the evening meal, magnificent place.Translating
Zero stars. We were treated very badly by the market people. CAMPERVANS ARE NOT WELCOME HERE. AVOID.Translating
Pretty village about 30 km from Oradour, worth visiting. Shops two minutes away on foot. Quiet night. Thank you to the town.Translating
Car park with no height restriction. It is possible to park there, but the road markings do not correspond. The place is pleasant but fairly busy. Very good for a lunchtime break at the picnic tables.Translating
Great parking area for a meal break at a picnic table overlooking the Vienne—simply magnificent.Translating
Great, free water and electricity.Translating
Very good spot for an overnight stop beside the Vienne. Thanks to the municipality. Free electricity and water, bakery just two steps away...Translating
We spent the night of April 12–13, 2023 at this site. Everything is indeed free: water and electricity. Very nice place, very close to all the shops. However, be careful: there is a market on Thursday morning. Otherwise, a lovely place right beside the river, very quiet at night.Translating
Pretty stopover village with this site beside the Vienne. Water and electricity points. No overnight prohibition.Translating
They are both car parks with no designated cc places. The "P" on P4N is within a few metres of the social hall. ( Evening event there today) We stopped on a Sunday for coffee break so places available by the EHU ( not tested) / water terminal and the main road had reduced traffic. Maybe the terminals are for the market traders?
Simply excellent for an overnight stay! Free electricity and water at several points. No disposal facilities. The town was quite quiet—sleepy—on that November evening. Bakery diagonally opposite. A huge thank-you to the municipality!Translating
