Overnight parking is unfortunately prohibited at this site.
A no-overnight-camping sign made us continue on our way.
Overflow parking next large meadow. Tarmac, flat surface. Good for up-to 10 campervans. Owned by National Trust for Scotland. Members collect free parking ticket from Pollock House, 2 minutes walk from parking. Day parking 4.50 paid from ticket machine or online. No facilities. Cafe (toilets) next to parking but limited hours. Busy during day with walkers, cyclists but dead quiet after dusk.
A great spot: drive along the small road at the back right of the parking area to park beside the grassy field. In the morning, you can have breakfast at the park café, just a two-minute walk away.
Its a lovely park with facilities and some signal. only downside Is being woken up at 8am by police. People park up here all the time and they regularly check and move people on so not an over nighter anymore. Great spot for the day though.
