This is a quiet parking area beside the Schmollinger forest tavern, suitable for an overnight stop. The tavern serves food, drinks and draught beer, although it may be closed outside the main season. Road noise is slight, especially at night, while trailers, caravans and motorhomes may occupy part of the parking area. Tavern parking spaces are separately marked.

Quiet parking area at a restaurant. The road did not bother me. Parts of the parking area are blocked by trailers and motorhomes, presumably belonging to locals. The restaurant serves delicious food and drinks, especially beer ;-)
Quiet, especially at night. Not very idyllic because of the trailers, caravans, and motorhomes parked there, but you can apparently spend the night without problems. Parking spaces for the pub are marked separately. Very suitable for an overnight stop on the route, as it is somewhat outside town. The nearest supermarket is in the neighboring village of Aichwald; there is a bakery locally in the industrial area.
Quiet hiking parking area. Road noise is barely audible, and at night there is hardly any traffic anyway. Unfortunately, the tavern was closed, probably because it was the off-season. Good for a stopover.
Nice pub with an indoor beer garden. Good beers on tap and tasty small dishes. Friendly hosts.
