The site belongs to the small campsite farther up. Visitors to the town have a small toilet. I cannot understand how anyone could rate this poorly. Besides toilet and gray-water disposal, there is also the possibility of washing your car. Water and a brush with a handle are provided. That is quite exceptional!
There is an official campground that is just as beautifully situated, and staying there supports the municipality! The municipality provides infrastructure here that is financed through local taxes. Icelanders pay very high taxes. Why should some guests consume everything here for free? It would be nice to think beyond one's own narrow perspective.
