This is a quiet daytime car park at Dooagh Beach, facing the sea and serving as the trailhead for 3 marked walking trails. It has excellent views, toilets and a bin, but overnight stays and camping are prohibited. Swimming is forbidden because of the dangerous currents and often rough surf.

Stayed for lunch. Great view, toilet and bin.
Short view of the sea. Quite stormy surf. Swimming forbidden. Overnight stays and camping are also forbidden. The place does not really invite you to do so anyway.
We did not see any prohibition against staying overnight in this car park, but we did not dare sleep there. We used it during the day to go hiking. Phil and Marie.
Overnight stays are forbidden here. It is fine during the day. No barrier.
Visited this parking place on 17th May 2023, this is the listed starting point for local trail walks. Regardless, lovely quiet spot with parking for several vehicles and beachfront. No bathing though, as there may be dangerous currents.
