Riverside parking, glacier access

2.5 kilometers from the start of the trail leading to the Svartisen glacier. This roadside parking area can accommodate about three motorhomes and is right beside the river. It is a good place to spend the evening watching the mountain scenery or listening to and watching the flowing river.✦Translating

Beautiful place for three motorhomes near the river, ideal before going to the glacier. There is a new car park at the foot of the fjord, costing 109 NOK, with camera-based payment being installed for overnight stays. At the moment it is inaccessible because of too much snow, but it should be open at the end of June—check first.✦Translating

A place where three motorhomes can park, but very noisy because of the river. There is no longer a boat to the glacier; the company and the campsite are permanently closed. Allow 10 km each way. The route is very muddy and difficult to access without good physical condition, with large waterfalls to cross. Many people turn back without reaching the glacier. What a shame.✦Translating

Beautiful, very quiet pitch for a maximum of three motorhomes, directly beside the river in a narrow valley. In mid-May, there is still a lot of snow reaching down to the water and along the roadside. No services whatsoever.✦Translating
