26 Undercliffe, YO18 8JH, Pickering
Been here?
A large, flat car park beside the railway, suitable for campervans and convenient for visiting Pickering. Day parking costs £7, while overnight parking costs £20 without electricity or £25 with electricity, valid until 10pm the following evening. Fresh water is available, but recent comments report no other services or bins. It is peaceful at night, with space, railway views and a short walk into town.

We stayed here in our campervan so peacefully watched horse we were the only ones in the lady was very pleasant would definitely come again so all you campervans check this site out you will not be disappointed perfect
stopped last night, so peacefull, bottom of the car park gets the sun all day, good communication using the earlier post mobile number, can leave money in the honesty box or pay via a link,
Arrived around 2pm on Saturday, sign advised if no attendant with High Viz to leave money and a note in the honesty box which we did. Sign only mentioned £7 per day until 10pm, nothing about overnight so took out chances and dropped £20 in the honesty box. Ticket was put on the van that said paid o/n. Peaceful, only one other motorhome. No facilities but 2 bins. Would definitely come back.
stayed here on friday night 5pm till saturday then wanted to go somewhere else (I drop £20 in the box) but definitely be back quite night beautiful place
Good stopover but we got there at 6pm payed £7 in the pay box but didn’t realise you had to pay £20 for the staying the night that’s no problem had a wander into town for a meal and a couple of drinks then got a ticket at 8am in the morning on the windscreen to say we had to pay an extra £23 on top of the fee because it’s war weekend so £30 for 14 hours at least they could have had a sign saying
Great value. We arrived at 17:30, spent the night, then had until 22:00 the next day to park and visit Pickering etc. All for £20.
Not the best for 20 pounds. No services at all. not even a bin. Don't be fooled by the table and umbrella as there is no cafe either. Good for dogs though as there is a big off lead area over Pickering Beck. Very quiet at night.
Great place to park for £20. £7 per day was what we were paying anyway for the railway; £20 gives you two days of parking and the night. Water is available on site. We chose to park close to the line, 5 m away, to watch steam trains arriving and departing. There was no train noise during the night. For what we used it for, and since we were using the railway anyway, we cannot complain. I would not pay £20 if arriving late or leaving early.
Daytime parking is £7; staying overnight is £17, which covers 24 hours. Great location with plenty of space, and a short walk into town. You need to speak to the attendant to pay, or use the honesty box if they are unavailable.
