2 Beach Walk, CT5 2BP
Been here?
A seafront car park with sea views and a short walk to Whitstable Harbour. A recent sign states that only light goods vehicles and cars may park there, although overnight parking was reported at £2. Public toilets nearby close around 8pm and reopen around 8am, with a drinking tap behind them.

Great spot. Beware sign now says light goods vehicles and cars only. Turn up at about 9pm and it’s £2 overnight
got here at 11pm and loads of space but it was a Tuesday and it was nice and quiet... paid £2.70 on app then left at 7.30am after a nice stroll on the beach and a cuppa... definitely will come back here...
Too small for our 7-meter van :(
Perfect for one night. However, it now costs £2.20 per night. There is also a very good restaurant, Tidehouse, right by the car park.
Great view, and £2 overnight is very cheap. Five minutes’ walk to Whitstable. Right by the sea.
good stop sat nav tries to take you in to the sports centre car park but it's the next turning on the left and left on the bend if approaching from the town. couldn't pay for the parking in one go using Ringgo had to do 3 separate payments
Great spot for the night right on the waterfront and within walking distance of Whitstable town. You couldn’t be closer to the sea! Flat spaces and quiet at night. Only reason it wasn’t 5* for us was that you had to pay, and while £2 for the night is reasonable, this is only from 9pm-7am. Outside of this it’s £2.70 per hour. So an evening, night and morning cost us £15.
24/08/2025. Parking closed. Parking closed. Parking closed. Parking closed.
There was plenty of space; four campers were using the area. Payment is only possible with the RingGo app or online; cash is not accepted! The place was very quiet at night, right by the beach and promenade.
Avoid. The markings are confusing, and there is an emergency access gate that can get you fined if you park too close. We started parking at Tankerton, where there are toilets next to a much larger and clearer car park.
A great spot , right on the beach and only a short walk along the promenade to the shops . Dogs allowed on the beach all year . Quite at night - there were several other vans overnighting when we were there . 2025 prices £2.70hr between 7:30am and 9:30 pm, £2 overnight , payment by coins or card
Lovely quiet spot right by the sea. £20 per day and £2 overnight. Nice walk along the sea by tankerton beach - very dog friendly. Close to Whitstable Harbour too - lovely little market there. It’s a car park so not glamorous. In November we were the only van overnight on a Friday night. Would recommend.
Beautiful, peaceful place to visit the beach and stay overnight for only £2. No traffic and a wonderful view with sunset and sunrise! Clean toilets 300 metres away. Plenty of rubbish bins. Nice oyster restaurant along the coast. Recommended!
Fantastic park up. Water tap, a shower and toilets or near by (toilets close at 8pm and re-open ~7:30am). Lots of good eateries and drinking holes close by. We found some toilet papers left by previous campers. Keep this park up clean for others.
Great spot but make sure you park behind the obvious line at the back of the parking area otherwise you might get a ticket. There is a notice by the entrance which shows this. Thanks to the chap who pointed this out to us!
You can now only stay here from 9pm to 7:30am for £2.70. (See photo.) But the spot is still very nice, as you are right on the beach.
Stayed last night. Great view, very peaceful.
Didn’t stay overnight, just used for 3 hour stop to explore Whitstable, which was very pleasant. Bit expensive for an empty car park. Ended up staying overnight at Reculver up the coast - which was a much more rural and pleasant spot.
Fantastic overnight park up in a lovely area by the sea
Great spot to park overnight…nice and close to the beach. We enjoyed the local food and a few pints before settling down for a good sleep without any interruptions or disturbance.
