This is a free, large parking area beside a sandy beach, with dry toilets. Ohtakari island and its tourism services are 1km away. Overnight sleeping is prohibited. Mosquitoes can be numerous, and an army area is nearby.

Probably a good parking area, but we drove on to the next one. Just before the island there is another parking area, daytime only, with lots of kite surfers. We stayed here and walked to the small fishing village.
Free parking. Overnight sleeping is prohibited. Place with millions of mosquitos and nearby army area.
Overnight stays are prohibited by signs.
