Riverside parking, loud trains

We parked here for one night while traveling, to rest before continuing the journey. We arrived at 11 p.m.; by then no campsite would take us. We were gone again at 7 a.m. You can park at the front; it is not reserved only for swimming-pool visitors. We were the only ones around. Despite the road, it was very quiet. The drive here from the A4 is somewhat bumpy.

We left the light on inside the camper with the fly screens closed and the windows open. We caught at least one million tiny flies. After an hour of swatting flies, the two of us were exhausted but slept well.

We slept well here for one night and ate very tasty food at the Schuhleiste. We were the only vehicle in the parking lot. Directly by the road, which did not bother us.

The same comment has been posted at all the places around Erfurt to deter campers from staying there. On top of that, it is untrue. It violates Park4Night guidelines, since a comment must always refer to the particular spot.

Starting this season, Erfurt's municipal authorities and police regularly check all Camp4Night spots at dusk. There are beautiful campsites everywhere that you can use. Wild overnight stays are unwanted and prohibited. Yes, dear ElliBelli, that includes you too ;-)

We stayed here for one night. It was quiet and clean. I would stay overnight here again anytime. Pure nature; please leave it clean.

The outdoor swimming pool is closed this 2024 season, making this a very quiet little place. In the morning, you can wonderfully jump into the icy Gera River to cool off. The bus passes every hour; otherwise, there are a few cyclists and only rarely a car. The trees provide wonderful shade until noon, and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset over the fields.

We were completely satisfied and stayed one night. It is a small village road, but that is manageable. There are many parking spaces here; we joined some other campers and had a great conversation. If you happen to read this, greetings again. Otherwise, there are at least 50 spaces here.

Very large, visually unattractive parking lot. A small stream is nearby. The view of the forest is frequently interrupted by trains, which also run at night. Freight trains can be very loud from 6:30 a.m., when the first commuters meet here for work. Fine for commuters staying overnight.

We stayed here Friday night into Saturday. The morning traffic is already quite heavy. I would not park here again. Otherwise, no services and completely alone. The swimming season seems to be over.
