144 Via Lungomare dei Mille, 89063, Melito di Porto Salvo
Been here?
This free parking space is directly beside a clear beach and allows overnight stays, although it feels somewhat isolated. Showers and a water tap are available nearby, but rubbish remains along the beach and a garbage truck passes early. Some evening traffic and late-night music may occur, while the access route from Melito has a 3,5 m height limit.

We stopped for lunch; beautiful beach. You can stay overnight, but it is a bit isolated, so you should be with others.
Crystal-clear sea, and the beach bars are very good for eating during the day. There is a shower and the possibility of refilling water. We spent two nights sleeping here. There are some cars around at night, but it did not bother us much.
Crystal-clear sea, parking directly on the beach. You sleep alongside other campers. The garbage truck passes early in the morning, but some rubbish remains scattered along the beach. A nearby beach club plays music until late at night, but heavy sleepers can manage. Fine for one night.
Five-star view, but very exposed to wind. There is heavy traffic until 11:30 p.m., at least on a Sunday. It feels as if this is the only road between the districts. Almost no traffic in the morning. The worst was a woman who came from the neighboring properties in the morning with bottles and rubbish and disposed of them on the beach. The site at the former campsite is even busier.
Great place to sleep. A few cars in the evening, almost none at night. Unfortunately, the wind was tremendous and kept getting stronger. We therefore moved 200 meters farther south during the night to find more shelter. The beach is excellent, with little rubbish by southern Italian standards. Beware: the approach via Melito has a 2.40-meter height limit. Via Anna, the underpass is higher.
Parking directly beside crystal-clear sea, with showers and a water tap available. Beautiful place. Recommended.
The place is wonderful. There is also a good internet connection.
We spent a quiet night here. A few cars passed by and only a few fishermen came in the morning. The beach is so-so, with some rubbish. 4G reception completely disappeared from time to time.
Good place for free camping on the beach.
Several scenic places directly by the water. Some cars pass during the day, but it is quieter at night. Completely empty in early March.
We had a quiet night here. There was a little rubbish, but it did not bother us.
The road to the beach from Anna is 3.5 meters high and suitable for larger motorhomes. Compared with 2022, the amount of rubbish has noticeably decreased. Several fishermen go out by boat every day, which can of course be heard, as can the railway line behind the hotel. Both Anna and Melito are easily reachable on foot for a coffee or shopping. Beautiful view and location.
Very nice spot, calm and with a beautiful view on the Etna. Some garbage but not too much (by southern Italy standards that is). There’s a fisherman on a small boat from whom we got fish straight from the sea. 4 stars because there are no garbage bins (but we found some by the water point nearby).
Very quiet at this time of year. The beach shower is still working today. The beach is clean, with only a little rubbish left by the sea. Magnificent sunset over Etna.
Very quiet in December with a view of Etna. A few anglers come by in the morning. You have to live with the dirt here, but that does not mean we can dump ours and leave even more behind.
