Lakeside amenities, membership required

Very beautiful, quiet place! Even in the rain? But please pay, otherwise there will soon have to be a barrier or something similar, which would be a shame!

This place is not free; it operates through Nortrip membership. So please be fair. Free camping is only possible with membership; that is what we did.

A beautiful large, quiet place with a toilet, chemical-toilet disposal, and numerous waste bins. The view of the lake is very beautiful. The church is somewhat hidden in the forest. Continuing over a wooden bridge brings you to the forest cemetery, laid out on a small hill. Everything is very beautiful, surrounded by nature.

A wonderful place; we stood directly by the lake. When we arrived, we were at the front of the parking lot and did not know exactly where it was—the site is behind it and cannot be seen. Natural site, somewhat uneven but completely fine, even with two heated toilets that were clean and had toilet paper and waste bins. Walking around the lake is very beautiful. We did not want to leave.

Very nice camping area, surrounded by mountains and a lake. Super quiet at night. Toilets and waste bins are also available.

The sign says that the water is not suitable for drinking or cooking.

Fantastic spot directly by the lake. Very idyllic and absolutely peaceful in the middle of nature.

Very, very beautiful place directly by the lake, where you can stay overnight for free. With a fire pit and benches. We were there in mid-May and there were no mosquitoes. Toilets very clean. The tap for refilling is somewhat hidden behind the trash bin. Thanks to the municipality for maintaining such a place.

We spent a wonderful night and a beautiful day here! The guesthouse served pizza for 285 NOK, more than enough for two people, either with reindeer meat or vegetarian; it was delicious! The toilet house was excellent, with black-water disposal and drinking water. Great swimming lake, also suitable for Kneipp therapy, but unfortunately an absolute mosquito hell. Shame: despite being in Elgland, we saw no moose, confirmed by a local.

A beautiful campsite with everything your heart could desire. Beautiful location with a clean lake for swimming, fishing, and stand-up paddling. Clean, heated toilets with hot water, endless space, and waste bins. One of the best free places I have ever visited.

5/5, nothing more is possible for €0: clean toilets (two), outdoor water for fresh water, and right by the lake, with benches. In May there was nobody around, which startled me and left me unsure where to park. There was a barrier above, but the wind had partly blown it shut.

Beautiful place by the water. You can use the clean toilets, empty the toilet cassette, and take on water free of charge. Highly recommended!

Quite nice in itself, but too busy. The nature is beautiful, but it does not feel cozy. The site is on a busy road, with a hotel/restaurant right next door. We prefer to be more secluded; we did not feel that here, so we drove on.

Really great place by the water. Many pitches. The upper area is currently being rebuilt, but we were able to drive directly down to the water. You can take a pleasant walk on the small “island” and visit the forest cemetery. A short swim in the lake was very refreshing in September.

The parking lot is being rebuilt and signposts have been taken away: continue on the gravel road, that leads to the picnic/camping area; a bumpy grassfield bordering the lake and large enough to accommodate vans/ mobilehomes etc. Clean (heated) toilets but no toilet paper. Chemical toilet disposal. Walk around the lake takes approx 45min. Recreational facilities available till end of Aug.

Lovely spot! There's plenty of room for many campers. We parked down below, but you can't go wrong with any of the spots here. Definitely recommended.
