Quiet overnight parking, mountain views

Great quiet place to stay for night, stayed there on 25-May-2026 alone. Spot is quite flat, didn't level my motorhome. The only negative thing - possibly due to extremely hot weather there were a lot of insects, so take your repellent with you

Great spot with a magnificent view. It is a car park with picnic tables, no bins and no services. Road nearby but quiet at night. Starting point for the St Kevin's Way hike, with the possibility of reaching Glendalough by a trail of about 3 km.

First night's park-up of a week long campervan trip to Ireland, and what a stunner! Joined by another few vans overnight, everyone quiet and respectful of each other. Had the entertainment of a group of young Indian guys turn up to make a TikTok of Bhangra dancing! They were simply enjoying themselves and it was very entertaining. Lovely walk on the Miners path the following morning.

I recommend this place for spending the night. Only 5 minutes from the start of the Wicklow Mountains hikes. We slept peacefully, without noise despite the road just a few metres away. The ruins of the old mines are nearby and well worth seeing!

Great spot; we were alone, with a magnificent view of the mountains and ruins nearby. There is plenty of room for a van or motorhome—about 10 to 15 easy spaces. We were lulled to sleep by the sound of water. Be aware that traffic starts from 5 a.m. The parking area is slightly sloped.

Very nice parking for the night, we parked the closest possible from the trail start and the ground was pretty flat. Nice view in the morning and a ruin close by. Good spot to be early in Glendalough to climb the Spinc ! Room for about 10 cars but not many leveled spot if you need that

We spent a very quiet Sunday night with several other campers. In the evening, we took a lovely walk to the old mine. There are picnic benches but no bins. Beautiful view, highly recommended!

Actually about twenty spaces, but quite sloped. The lakes are accessible on foot.

Lovely spot, we stayed one night in 7.6m MH. Lovely walk down the valley. No facilities but some lovely benches and tables with a great view. Quiet and peaceful.

Excellent place to stop for one night, with a beautiful panorama, near the road but quiet and with little traffic at night. Not sheltered from the wind. Easy access even for large motorhomes.

Very quiet car park on the Minor's Way and St Kevin's Way routes, ideal for hiking. Picnic table next to the car park. Access to Glendalough via the path along the river, a 30-minute walk.

Our first and one of the best nights of the trip. Easily accessible from Dublin. Wonderful views and hiking trails in the beautiful national park. Tour groups arrived in the morning, but at least in March it was very quiet, although also very windy. Toilet in the visitor centre, more than 5 minutes away.

The scenery is spectacular, but the night was unpleasant. A group of cars arrived around 10:30 p.m. and started drifting constantly for several hours.
