Been here?
This riverside wild spot offers clear water for swimming and can be quiet in the evening. Recent reports describe heavy weekend use by locals for barbecues, overflowing bins, and generally dirty conditions. Access is currently reported as suitable only for 4x4 vehicles, and a recent warning concerns groups of men approaching isolated women along the banks.

Place by the water, very popular with locals at weekends for barbecues and so on. Nice for a quick swim when it is 29°C. The dogs were happy to cool off. Bins are available but completely full. They are emptied in the evening. Quiet night.
If you are a woman or a group of women, do not stay here overnight or even during the day. Groups of men loiter around the riverbanks and wait until you are isolated before approaching you and almost touching you.
Wonderful place to spend the night, but only with a 4x4. Otherwise it is peaceful, with plenty of space and crystal-clear water suitable for swimming. Locals drove past in their cars a few times in the evening.
Really pleasant place. We spent two days and two nights here. Very quiet; one star deducted because it was extremely dirty due to the disrespectful behavior of people who come here—not only travelers, but also many locals who come to lounge around. Nevertheless, I still recommend this spot. What a joy to swim in the river upon waking!
Quite a few people come in the morning to swim or sunbathe; at night we were the only ones. The place is fairly clean, although there are some small areas of stagnant water. We were lucky with the mosquitoes, but normally I think we would have been eaten alive.
Dirty and muddy, it’s basically a farmers field. Tonnes of cars down at the river beach playing music loudly, just not a relaxing place at all.
On the banks of the river, an excellent place, but when we stayed there were many flies because the fields were being fertilized; I assume that was something very temporary. We stayed at the end of May during the week and there were few people. Important: when using Google Maps to get there, the place is called La Pila Beach. The road is suitable for any vehicle. The other side of the river, where it is marked, requires 4x4 access.
The spot is extremely nice, even more so with a 4x4, but a major drawback for me is that if you are a woman alone, I advise against it. An old man lives nearby and prowls around the area. He came by last night to try to flirt with me; I said no. He came back this morning when I woke up and tried again. After another no, he tried to steal my dog while I was distracted making coffee. I am leaving.
Excellent spot. We spent two days here in complete peace and quiet. Very calm at night.
Very noisy place. Jet fighters, normal planes, people on road bikes. For desolate place there is a lot of noise during the day. During the night you hear only the planes.
Beautiful place to relax. Different spots along the path beside the river. There is little water at the moment. We parked in the riverbed but close to the edge, without sinking in. Warning: avoid weekends if you want peace and quiet. It is a meeting place for 4x4s, motocross bikes and barbecues with loud music.
