Riverside site, no showers

The water meter still does not work. Today I got 10 liters for my euro. I tried everything, but it does not work. Dear municipality, please finally fix this!!! Very frustrating; I drove on.

You can already guess from the location that the site is not exactly quiet. But the real kicker is the talking water machine, which from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. gives detailed instructions in German and English every few minutes on how to empty the toilet cassette. Woe to anyone who has a pitch nearby!

Very good: The overnight fee can be paid by card, including phone, or via the app without a surcharge. The reported problems with the drinking-water column are caused by an overly sensitive coin validator: If the column stops after a few liters, press the coin-return button. WARNING: Particularly cleanliness-obsessed people clean their toilet cassette directly at the fresh-water outlet! Disgusting.

Simple, inexpensive, functional parking area, excellent for visiting the small, characteristic town of "Snow White". €10 for 24 hours, €1 for 100 liters of water, electricity €3 for 12 hours. No showers; toilets only from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Paved pitches on the edge of a large parking area. The disposal station is somewhat awkwardly designed. We were there at the weekend; road noise was tolerable at night. Good location, only 200 meters from the old town and less than ten minutes from the center. Negative: Young people gather with loud music until late at night.

Motorhome stop on the edge of a large, very busy parking area. Electricity costs €1 for four hours and works without problems. The site is close to the beautiful old town. At night, three cars loudly drove circles around the area. This seems to be a persistent problem here.

Actually a nice city parking area near the center with a view of the Main. Bins are available. In my opinion, the disposal point is poorly designed, because I had to drive so far forward that I was standing at such an angle while emptying that the gray water did not drain. It only emptied completely when I drove away, since I had left it open. The €1 coin for water was not accepted either, so that did not work. What a shame!

Great spot by the river with nice toilets and boat traffic. Old town is close. Some campers take extra space. Downsides: late-night car races and gatherings under Neue Mainbrücke with shouting and possible trading. I woke up at 1:30 am from the noise – earplugs are a must.

We parked there to visit the city, but did not feel comfortable spending the night. We left. Motorhomes are prohibited from July 17, 2025, due to a local festival.

Great place, absolutely prime location. What is incomprehensible is that these car show-offs—young Turks in this case—really exist. They race their cars around the site repeatedly, followed by very loud Turkish music. Why do the authorities do nothing when this misconduct is clearly well known? Otherwise, it is a really beautiful place.

Huge parking area where young people meet at night and drive their cars loudly. Strange signage regarding costs. Chargeable from the first minute, unlike cars, which are charged only at certain times—an absolute cheek. Even if you only want to go into town for dinner, cars are free but motorhomes pay. And all of it only through an app. Please don't do this.

Very bad. Contact in the app is not enabled. The app has been blocked for a week because the site will be closed in ten days for festivities. Credit-card payment would be possible there; otherwise only coins or Girocard. Who travels around with a bag of coins? The civic service cannot be reached by phone either. Absolutely harmful to tourism and outdated. Electricity is metered by time.

You have to like being next to the main road, but it is central and there are many possibilities by bicycle.

The site itself is very nice and centrally located. However, if the town officially designates it and charges fees, it should also carry out checks in the evening and remove the party-going youths from the site!
