A free, flat parking area at the Festos archaeological site, elevated above the plain with views of Mount Ida and little shade. It is generally quiet at night, though the roadside location brings traffic and Friday evenings can be busy. There are no services apart from a rubbish bin, while tavernas are located down the hill.

Great parking lot with brilliant views. Quiet at night, too. No services but there are several OKish tavernae just down the hill, and staff at the archaeological site let me use their WC in the morning.
Very nice spot. We stayed 2 nights no problem at all. Traffic stops around midnight.
