Strada Vicinale Caragol n 23, 07041, Alghero
Been here?
Private, secure area among olive trees near Alghero, with friendly owners and a calm setting. The new toilet and shower block is available, but recent reports say showers and toilets operate only during set morning and evening hours. The city centre takes about 20–25 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bicycle, with Lidl nearby. Access is somewhat narrow but manageable up to 7.50 m; larger vehicles may need extra manoeuvring.

The owners are very kind and explain everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are showers and toilets, but they only work for a few hours a day. It takes about 20–25 minutes to walk to the city centre and 10 minutes by bicycle. If you want to be peaceful and safe, this is your place!
We stayed here for one night. You have to give your exact arrival time and you are in a courtyard. Showers are open in the morning from 8–10 and in the evening from 7–10. Unfortunately, the door is not unlocked until 7:30 p.m. We were not really enthusiastic. It is close to the town and we slept peacefully.
Private area located among olive trees. The entrance to the property is a little tight, but up to 7.5 m there is no problem. A larger motorhome will need more manoeuvring, but I think anything over 8 m will not be able to enter. They have just opened a toilet and shower facility that works day and night, with plenty of hot water. The place is quiet but has limited spaces. Reservations are recommended and they reply quickly.
We stayed here for two nights. Great if you want to visit Alghero. We had our e-bikes with us and were in town in 10 minutes. Manuela is very nice and helpful. Showers are available for two hours each morning and evening because water is scarce. You can manage if you know there is no fixed water connection. Two toilets and two showers, all very basic but with character! We felt comfortable. Very quiet and great for unwinding :)
Very nice woman, speaks German. Pitch in an olive grove, relatively quiet. Showers only in the morning and evening for two hours each, otherwise locked. This does not work for us at €32 per night for two people with a dog. Too far to walk to town; it takes at least 45 minutes to the old town. Fine by bicycle. Safe place. Lidl about 1 km away. The house number is 23, with a small sign at the entrance!
Very nice operators; the new toilet building with showers is finished. Everything you need is available. There is also plenty for children to play with, although unfortunately it is already somewhat dated. Very dog-friendly, with shaded pitches… we will be back!
It will be nice and quiet once the construction work is finished. However, I find it unfortunate that they charge for services even when they are not used, such as the shower, toilet and washing dishes in my van. Not good, that is excessive!!!
The reference to Lidl was very misleading for us. Actually, with a reservation, you can arrive directly from Caragol Street. Manuela helped us via WhatsApp and also speaks German. A new sanitary building is currently being built on the site and will surely be finished soon.
Everything was very good. Friendly owners, very calm, clean and tidy. A charming place, highly recommended.
Very warmly welcomed and excellent service.
Excellent, exceptional, beautiful. Courtesy and great peace, and above all everything in nature. New service areas with separate toilets and showers, a kiosk with good fresh Sardinian beer and good ice cream. Ideal for those who love intimate spaces. The centre is only 5 minutes by bicycle and 20–30 minutes on foot. Alghero is wonderful, and thanks to Manuela and Sergio for their great hospitality, which cannot be taken for granted.
The site would basically be very nice, but it is run rather carelessly and there is stuff lying everywhere. The toilet and shower are usable, but nothing particularly nice. There is only one shower and one toilet in the same room for the entire area. Fine for one night, but we would not stay longer because the distance to the city is quite far.
Small, friendly family campsite, currently being improved but very welcoming and a place where you feel comfortable… we are going to stay three nights…
Friendly owner, quick replies via WhatsApp, quiet site, we felt comfortable. It is also possible to stay if you do not have your own toilet or shower. Electricity was also available; compared with the prices elsewhere in the area, €25 is perfectly reasonable.
It seems absurd to write negative reviews about a facility when the owner is not to blame if it rained the previous day and the ground is wet. If there are stray dogs nearby, how can that be the owner's fault? The place is a little paradise, guarded and protected. I will return in March. See you soon.
Tight entrance - we got in after a few attempts with an 8 metre length. As out of season ground was wet and pitches were on grass. Outdated toilet with broken/not in use shower. Drain and water station - difficult for large motorhome to navigate. One plus was secure gate. good for walking into Algherro - about 20-25 mins. It is a mile walk to Lidl. 25 euros a little hefty per night out of season.
Handy spot within walking/cycling distance to town. Nice and quiet. Quick reply on WhatsApp. A little stressful walking the dog in the narrow lanes and negotiating a big, black, drooling dog that was loose. I didn’t use the services but they are available. The son was helpful at check in. I didn’t see anyone else the two nights I was there.
Great and secure motorhome site near Alghero. Contact via WhatsApp worked perfectly. Manuela speaks very good German. The site is still being developed, but it has everything you need, including a hot shower. We spent one night with Sergio and Manuela for €25, including two dogs. Thank you for your very friendly and helpful welcome. We would gladly come again.
EXCELLENT, SAFE AND PROTECTED PLACE, only 1.5 km from the town centre, with every comfort. Hospitality and courtesy at the highest level. Thank you, Manuela and Sergio; we will definitely return.
Privately operated motorhome site. It would be great if it were run with more care. Rubbish and assorted clutter are lying or standing everywhere, and have clearly been there for a long time. The grey-water drain is barely accessible for larger vehicles. A construction site, a building with scaffolding, occupies the centre of the site. There is a pool with algae in the water, a makeshift pallet stage in the garden, and the frame of a party tent lying around, etc. The toilet and shower are usable. It is a 35-minute walk to town. €70 for two nights. Next time we will pay more and stay at the campsite again.
I wouldn’t go here again. The place is quiet, basic services are there, but 32,50 a night is too much for what it is. There’s one combined toilet/shower, which is old and dirty. It doesn’t feel very hospitable either. We asked if we could leave the campervan until after lunchtime on the day we were leaving, but they wanted 10 Euro extra for that, although non of the places were occupied.
Very quiet place, close to Alghero city, a 20-minute walk away. It has everything necessary—showers, emptying and filling facilities—and excellent hosts. We stayed only one night, but would definitely return.
Quiet place run by a courteous and precise family. We had a good stay: peace and silence in the countryside while still being practically close to the centre of beautiful Alghero. Facilities are being improved. Recommended.
Very practical little spot near Alghero with all amenities. The gate entrance is a little narrow for the turn, but it is manageable. The pitches are under olive and fig trees with little lanterns. However, there is quite a lot of clutter all around, which detracts somewhat from the setting. We paid €32.50 for a camper with two adults and one baby.
Excellent place, low cost and ideal for those who want peace and quiet.
One night yesterday. Quiet place with olive trees, but €40 for one night is too much! There is only one bathroom in poor condition, rather neglected. It is far from the centre, empty, but we were not allowed to choose our pitch and were asked to squeeze in. Finally, we were charged immediately in cash without being given a receipt. This is the main reason for the rating of only two stars.
Highly recommended! We had a wonderful stay and extended it. Fair price and excellent services for a motorhome area, welcoming and attentive owners, 15 minutes by bicycle from Alghero city centre. A place close to our hearts; we felt at home! Thank you for your hospitality, Manuela, Sergio, children and kittens. We will return.
Positive: quiet pitch, 10 minutes by bicycle to the centre and beach. Negative: there is one toilet and shower for six campers, and they are in the same cubicle, so if someone is using the toilet nobody can shower. The water is pleasantly hot. The area around the shower/toilet is very cluttered, although the pitches are nice. €40 including electricity is expensive. Note that the access road is very narrow.
The place is very good, a 25-minute walk from the village. It has a bathroom and shower. The owners were nice and attentive when we arrived. If we pass through Alghero again, we will visit again!
Basic but with all you need, very friendly owners, she speeks german also. They have basic older bikes but you can ask an take them to go to the city or to the lidl or to the beach in max 10 minutes. For staying just send message on watsup and you will get all infos. Water not drinkable and not for cooking so buy water. Toilet and shower and loading -unloading.
I was here months ago and have come back; everything has improved. There is now also a small basketball court where I took a few shots and challenged the owners, who are always kind and polite. There is also a small ice cream and cold drinks kiosk, as well as bottled ice. I still highly recommend it and will definitely return. Too bad about the criticism from some people. See you soon.
A truly peaceful place surrounded by olive trees. I was undisturbed and there are all the necessary services. I highly recommend it; fair price.
Excellent location, services available even though they are not required, peace and security guaranteed among the olive trees. A truly beautiful place, highly recommended.
Area difficult to access for a 7.8 m motorhome. The services are difficult to access. Above all, do not take the wrong road because it is impossible to use the path. I did not see the owner during the two days.
