Temple parking, traffic noise

Because of its proximity to the motorway, I would have classified this place more as a daytime parking area for visiting the Temple of Hera. Certain circumstances forced me to spend the night there, and I did not even find it unpleasant. Traffic decreased at night, and I parked my Iveco with the cab facing the motorway. This dampened the noise in the sleeping area. I was able to sleep peacefully at night.

A lovely free parking area for visiting the temple; the downside is that it is too noisy at night because of the main road.

Ideal for a break between Naples and Puglia without deviating from our route. Level spot. We spent the night without any problems. You can indeed hear the road noise, but it did not bother us.

We stopped here for a break. Bins were available and open. The toilets were not open even though the monument could be visited. Not really suitable for sleeping. The motorway is very close; it feels like a motorway rest area.

Nice sunny forecourt, convenient for visiting the Temple of Hera. In front there is a park with shaded benches. There are no water fountains.

Great for spending the night while driving. Quite a lot of noise from the highway, but it was fine for us. The temple is closed on Mondays, so we could not access any toilet.

Perfect for anyone who wants to sleep directly beside the four-lane highway! That does not detract from the beauty of the temple; at least the parking area is level and free.
