Large free parking area, located in the upper part of Lapalisse, very close to the château. The municipal police patrol regularly day and night. No security concerns. No services. A visit to the château is highly recommended.
Very good for a break to split up the journey. Pretty château. Easy access. Bakery right next door. Good for 4G. Plenty of space for dogs.
Pleasant setting, very well located for visiting the château and town, with clean toilets. The downside: you can hear a lot of traffic at night—at least in a roof tent; I think it would be fine in a van.
Fine parking lot but unfortunately it is not allowed to park there for vehicles heavier than 3.5 tons.
Great level spot between the château, town hall, and church, with space for 50 motorhomes and a public toilet. Limited to 3.5 tons; otherwise free with no time limits. Quiet. The Bourbonnais hotel restaurant is very close and extremely inexpensive AND good!!!!!
Great place to stay, calm, shade under the trees, enough place. Public toilets available.
A beautiful place. We did not stay overnight because we are only passing through, but the place beckons you. Peaceful and very pleasant, right next to the château.
Very nice motorhome site. Thanks to the town for providing this service.
Spacious, suitable for a motorhome with a large trailer, shaded under the chestnut trees, with room for a large dog to roam. Very pleasant.
Very beautiful place! At the foot of the church and château. We were three vans spread out under the chestnut trees at sunset. Public toilets available, very clean. Thanks to the town hall for providing this parking opportunity, and congratulations on your lovely town.
Thanks to the municipality for making this parking area available. A beautiful and peaceful place, with toilets, a bakery a few meters away, and a superb château nearby.
Beautiful shady spaces, close to the town.
Daytime parking. Possibility of parking in the sun or shade. Large motorhomes are fine. Clean toilets. Direct access to the château. Very good picnic table. Thank you to the town!
Free day-and-night parking near Lapalisse château. Very clean, free public toilets with automatic cleaning, sink, soap, and hand dryer. Picnic tables, bins, a book-sharing box, and more. Numerous large, flat spaces allow all types of vehicles to park. The church bell tower did not bother us. Many thanks to the municipality for this privileged welcome!
A very beautiful place, clean spaces, and a magnificent château to visit... I highly recommend it.
Flat, quiet, and clean. Perfect for parking and/or spending the night. Some shops and a few restaurants were open on May 8. Thanks to the town for welcoming us under such good conditions.
Large, level parking area with toilets, no services, and no cost. You can spend the night here comfortably. Thanks to the municipality.
Thanks again to the municipality. We have to make a detour every time we pass through the area. I strongly recommend Le Bourbonnais restaurant, with 100% homemade food and real tableware. We promise to come back and stay for two or three days.
Thank you to the town for welcoming people in beautiful parking areas and providing several public toilets.
For the umpteenth time, we stayed at this quiet parking area, which is beautifully located behind the church and next to the château. The pretty town of Lapalisse is just around the corner.
Beautiful spot right in town. Nevertheless, very quiet.
Absolutely fantastic, thank you to the municipality.
Excellent shaded parking area beside the plane trees, next to the castle. A peaceful, quiet, dark night. The bells announced the arrival of day. Beautiful castle—we confirm the guide's availability and passion as she showed us around.
We chose the parking area near the castle because it is very shady, unlike the nearby camper area. The only nearby facility is a public toilet. If you cannot stand church bells, bring earplugs—the bells can also be heard in the camper area.
Excellent parking area in a very beautiful village. Clean and well-maintained. There are two bathrooms, one of which does not work. Very peaceful for sleeping.
Perfect for sleeping and visiting the castle with a passionate guide.
We stayed here on July 7 with our motorhome. The night was calm and peaceful, a very good place to spend the night. There is a public toilet, bins and a large parking area, plus a small castle and church. A restaurant and bar are just three minutes away on foot.
Thank you for this wonderful spot near the castle and church.
We arrived late in the evening, and in the dark it was not easy to find at first. Once we found it, we immediately saw that it really is a large, well-kept and quiet square. Peaceful night—I only heard the bell tower ring at 6 a.m.! Compliments to the municipality for welcoming motorhomes and maintaining the area.
Thank you for this motorhome parking area in the town center. It's a shame it was raining; we would have liked to visit this town, which welcomes motorhome travelers so warmly. Plenty of space, very quiet, we recommend it. Thanks to the municipality of Lapalisse. MC/YJ
Many thanks to the municipality. A lovely welcome for motorhome travelers.
Plenty of spaces even when arriving late in the evening. A peaceful night's sleep with everything nearby—thank you to the municipality! The castle visit is very enjoyable, with a wonderful history to discover alongside a lively and passionate guide. In short, an ideal place to discover Lapalisse!
Thank you to the municipality for this very well-located parking area, close to Lapalisse Castle. We spent a good night there after a very enjoyable castle visit. The guide was very friendly and knew her subject well. We also recommend the Hôtel-Restaurant du Bourbonnais, where the welcome was equally warm and the meal excellent, with very good value for money.
Perfect for the night! Plenty of space, toilets next door and a bakery 50 meters away. In the village center, so there is some noise in the morning, but it did not bother us.
