39 Carretera del Far, Roses
Been here?
Free roadside parking with harbor views, about 15min on foot from the city center and close to the beach. Despite signs prohibiting motorhomes, overnight parking has been reported without problems, and police patrol regularly. Traffic is moderate until about 23h30 and can be noisy, although the rest of the night may be calmer. Public toilets and water are available near the beach.

You can park very nicely here. Many thanks to the municipality.
Nice place to sleep, with a view of the harbour, quiet and not far from the town centre.
We stayed for two nights, safe. People and cars pass by; the beach is a four-minute walk away, with rubbish bins and water beside the beach. The police pass frequently and did not say anything.
Ideal for parking and visiting.
Very convenient location for reaching the town centre. We parked twice overnight and part of the day, with no particular issues apart from relatively moderate traffic until around 11:30 p.m.; the rest of the night was quite calm.
Absolutely excellent place for visiting the city. However, avoid it on carnival day—the parade ends in the car park right next door! It was fun, but I preferred to sleep a little farther away.
For one night last week, it was useful because it is free, but there is some loitering on the benches in the evening and heavy traffic. People drive a little fast too.
Nice place to stay, beautiful sea view, very noisy and lots of traffic in the evening.
Good location close to town and the beach. Toilets aswell. Very noisy ar night.
Very noisy, with road traffic and music, but well located.
The public toilets were not working in the evening in April. There was no information about their possible opening hours.
The signs say no trucks or caravans. The car park was relatively empty that night, with only two other vans. Occasionally a car passed by.
We spent the night without incident. Quiet, very well located, close to bakeries and shops. There were other motorhomes and campers. The only drawback is that it is on a road, so quite a few cars pass by; if you are a light sleeper, this is not your place.
Good overnight option. Restaurants and bars. Free. It can be noisy because it is beside the road. Beach nearby. Excursions possible to the citadel or Trinitat Castle.
There is now a no-parking sign for campers. Unfortunately, it is no longer allowed. What a shame.
We parked here for the day and decided to take a chance on staying here at night after trying 5 campsites in the area that were full up. No problems although not best park up, but needs must. Very noisy road, constant traffic and also noise from the marina. Woke up however to a beautiful vista
Sign says Autocaravan Prohibited. We stayed 1 night and did not get a ticket. Very noisy at night and quite windy due to the location. Very beautiful view.
Ideal during the day for visiting the city. Be careful when leaving: it is very, very difficult to find somewhere to turn around. For sleeping, prefer the large car park at 13 Carrer Ponent.
Impossible to park in summer. We drove on toward Llançà, which does have one. There is also a lot of traffic.
The worst place where I have slept in years. Cars and motorcycles keep passing as if they were racing, all night long. Perfect for daytime parking and visiting the centre; not recommended for sleeping.
Great car park, near the town centre; it is possible to spend the night.
Our favourite free spot. Opposite the harbour, wonderful to wake up with coffee and a view of the harbour. Feels safe. Public toilet nearby. In the evening, the main road becomes quieter.
We were a little farther away, facing the fishing harbour. We arrived Monday at noon and left Wednesday morning; it was February. Ten minutes from the town. We were not disturbed and spent two nights. Quite quiet despite the cars passing on the road. You can take the bus to Cadaqués for €3.30 one way; it is worth it, a beautiful fishing village. In Portlligat there is the Dalí house.
We spent the night of 31 December here and it was noisy until after 2 a.m. It is ideal for parking and visiting the city, but somewhat noisy for sleeping because the road is right beside it.
Excellent, but too noisy for the night. BEWARE OF THEFT!!!!!
