Château-Arnoux-Saint-Auban
Been here?
4x4 access only
Getting here needs an off-road vehicle. Check your ground clearance before setting off.
This small, shaded forest car park is suitable for hiking, mountain biking or hanging hammocks, with no services. The spot is fairly flat, but access roads can be muddy after rain and awkward for regular vans. The eastern approach is shorter and easier for non-4x4 vehicles, while the western approach may require a 4x4. Camping sauvage is prohibited, and the A51 is faintly audible.

quiet and shaded, nothing really interesting tho. the road isn’t technical enough to be fun for 4x4 and a bit too sketchy for regular vans. the gps recommends the western approach, but the eastern way is a lot shorter and easier (for non 4xx4s)
Beautiful space under the trees, well shaded. Ideal for mountain-bike outings and also for hanging hammocks. Wild camping is prohibited here.Translating
Pleasant spot, a little muddy after rain. You can hear the A51, but it is very distant with the windows open. In my opinion, direct access from Château-Arnoux requires a 4x4. The other side seems easier.Translating
