Forest-edge parking, overnight checks

Big quiet parking area at the forest edge, right on the river Reuss beside a small chapel. Space for large motorhomes (up to 4m height, 10t, no weight limit), though branches on the valley side hang down to about 3.5m. Shady and peaceful, popular with dog walkers, though satellite reception is difficult under the trees. A nearby restaurant is well regarded but needs reservations. Police have been known to check overnight vehicles around 9pm.
